Hello Nexus!
I've smoked DMT 3 Times, and I feel like recently I'm really starting to integrate the experiences. I've been trying to learn as much as I can about the growing field of psychedelic medicine, and about others' experiences on these drugs. Very few people I know personally have used DMT, so my two questions directed at DMT users are at the bottom of the post.
The period of experimentation was about a 2 month window, I think the last trip was about 4 months ago. I was eager to explore while the spice and a comfortable environment were available, so I pushed past the feeling of extreme apprehension to have such an intense experience. I was, as most seem to be, very glad that I took the leap afterwords.
The first experience, with 80mg in a glass vaporizing pipe (this was the suggestion of my friend dosing me and I didnt think Id be able to inhale it all. I now realize that with a crack pipe its probably more spice than necessary). The experience leaves me with the impression of a carnival ride. I didn't feel like any particular entity was with me, more like I was just traveling through some kind of bright colorful neon sprawl of complicated stuff. Immediately after the experience, I felt ecstatic and elated but was somewhat bothered by my inability to remember clearly what I had just been through.
The second experience was 70mg the same way. This time, I felt like the environment I smoked it in bled through to the DMT trip. I smoked it in my friends' bedroom on their bed, the fireworks go up, and at some point I opened my eyes. It felt like I was in a very distant and alien environment that exactly resembled their bedroom. I looked at my two friends and recognized them as... I don't know? They were themselves but not themselves and I was really glad to see them. some kind of a narrative played out that was confusing and blurred in my memory but I remember that at some point either I or they started OM ing and the effect of the sound seemed to push away the trip and the negative energy I felt in it. I felt very blissful after this trip as well
The third time was 60mg. Another room of the same house, sitting on the floor. I inhale a very huge lungful and flop back onto a pillow. I hear a voice ask if I want another toke but I can't sit up because i'm dead. The tunnel of light above me opens and I see some green fellow calmly looking back at me. I communicate something. It's incredibly hard to say but it was like the intensity of everything just crossed a threshold, and I lose consciousness then later find myself at the gates of this insane hub of information and activity and symbols. I'm flying through this place, and somehow the scenery thats inside of this blender is becoming more and more familiar. I have no idea how long it's been since I inhaled at this point but things are slowing down. I open my eyes and stand up. A lot of confusing things happen as I'm popping in and out of two completely separate parallel experiences, staggering around the room and zipping around this blender. I had something akin to a panic attack after the trip and felt generally freaked out for a couple days afterwards.
So here are my questions to those of you who've smoked DMT:
My first three trips were increasingly weird, each one scaring me more than the last one. Did any of you notice an intensification effect like this? How many journeys did you have to take before something happened that left you really freaked out?
When I smoked DMT I lost all sense of time and worried I had fallen into something eternal. I know that harmalas extend the duration but also change the nature of the experience. Have any of you had extended DMT trips without harmalas (Administering through an IV drip, rectally or some other way)? How does eternity for even longer feel?
If anyone's interested in collecting data for some reason and would like me to fill out the template for bioassays then i'm more than happy to.
