Hi all as the title suggests its took me 30 years to finally have dmt in my hands (finally:)) it all started with lsd with that and weed taking up most of my mid teens to early 20s then thingson to mdma and clubs up to about 30s then cocaine up to my 40s and every person I've had a transaction with along that journey ive always asked about dmt and the answer was always no.

The last 10 years id kinda thought doesn't look like thats going to happen now and a couple of years ago I started collecting mushrooms from the hills by me and that lead me to a mushroom chat site and randomly someone asked once about dmt which got the reply its easy to extract from mhrb he never said how just that it was possible thats basically how to do it, but i was kinda getting into the shrooms and enjoying the walking in nature and collecting them and just enjoying the whole experience , somehow though they've lost their potency in storage this season , all of a sudden something just clicked and I could make it myself so mhrb >appeared< and a few youtube tutorials and I had a extraction method which I did and was happy with how that went now my next

Though was from what I've heard its difficult to burn right plus I didn't know exactly if what I had was any good so decided on a yocan orbit as just press a button it heats it up and away you go so I did and started low at 10mg which being a noob with the atomizer gave 3 hits each one you Could feel the power even at such a low dose I knew I'd found something special the first hit felt like a frequency in my head a rush and trails like 2g of mushrooms and deep breathing in time with the buzz if that makes sense , next time I decided pre heat and burn all the way through and do 10mg in one go which was my more intense and visuals like more vivid than any mushrooms id had before but im still fully aware im im my room, 15mg was next and this was first time I felt like I was about 1 metre above my room it felt like was firing a thousand questions at me like what is self what is an atom whats a planet whats life whats death like the opposite of anything is the same ? Then seemed like was asking if I was ok with dying not like I was going to die but would I be ok with ?

Then it seemed to switch and kick me out , so I went back to 10mg and and seemed like guiding me be centered balanced dont look too hard basically be present and in the moment and then it felt id had the green light to carry on and go deeper , which is about where I am with it at the moment, I must say after every encounter I come down feeling so grateful and such a deep respect for this beautiful substance , ive had a calmness and a level of acceptance of id say myself that ive never had before , its been worth the wait that's for sure and I've not even been to hyperspace yet lol just a beautiful thing

Welcome to the Nexus, glad to have ya on board.

What kinda mushrooms you finding out there?
Thanks glad to be here seems a very cool place, its all liberty caps round by me , there have been some reports of wavey caps on the mulch by shopping center car parks but not native so id say that would be on a rare occasion

automatic,

Welcome. Wow I thought my active search for 23 years was extreme.

I am very glad you got here and extracted your own DMT...

Sounds like so far so good. There is a LOT more to see.

I hope you will enjoy your time with DMT and here at the Nexus.
Thanks , still 23 years is a long time but hey in the end we got there!!!
Most definitely so far so good and long may it continue this journey.

I know I've only just scratched the surface and they'll be so much more from what I've been hearing . I'm thinking a couple smaller amounts then try a breakthrough around the weekend all going well

Yes I enjoyed the extraction process too as lots to learn there that otherwise I'd miss out on , it has a nicer feel too smoking whats you've extracted rather than trying to buying it from a random

Welcome. Good to see you got there eventually. I had a 50 year gap between my one and only lsd trip and finally deciding to explore DMT, with nothing in between apart from alchohol. Boy have I missed out.
Thank you , oh wow that is quite a gap but to be honest for me psychedelics seem better in my later years as more about the things they can shoe you and definitely appreciate it them alot more now than when I was younger

Good to have you :) I was also lead to DMT through researching mushrooms. I had never even heard of it. I just saw a big pile of yellow crystals in a post on The Shroomery and had to know more. Funnily enough I'd had about 15 DMT experiences before I even touched a single shroom. I had to grow them and to this day I still haven't laid eyes on a single liberty cap in the wild. I hope that will change one day in the not too distant future...

Good to see you're enjoying low doses right now, testing the waters. There's no rush to see hyperspace. Simply being the observer and feeling the hum of existence is very therapeutic.

Thank you, yes strange the paths psychedelics can lead us down you hear a whisper or see something new and you have to find out more . My next plan was funnily enough to grow some mushrooms something I've not done before either . A field where sheep graze is a good starting point , nothing thats been cut for a couple of years with a good bio diversity mostly round little tufts of grass like sheltering from the wind in clusters mostly, first one you find dont pick straight away study it from various angles just how it sits in the grassland and you'll find more and more , colours anything from creamy if dry and caramel colour if wet , obviously identify from the nipple on top of caps and the caps never open up more like a bullet shape and the stems will always be bendy , if you do find always best to check identification from a mushroom site as all mushrooms are edible but some are only edible once

Ah, a fellow lib connoiseur - welcome! I must have picked something like a hundred thousand of the things over the decades - 30 years, in fact, as chance would have it. Their variations in form are endlessly fascinating to me, even without necessarily having consumed any at the time :D

Btw, occasionally there have been some which open up more like an umbrella although this tends to be among the daintier of specimens.

While we're on the general subject, properly close lookalikes to liberty caps are fairly unusual but they do exist - and I dont mean vague matches like the more brown to cream species of mycena, nor the few other grassland psilocybes which have their own distinctions obvious to the trained eye. Above all, I'm thinking of one sort peripheral to the cortinarius supergenus that really made me do a double take. It had so many features in common with liberty caps, it was scary - particularly because cortinarius spp. carry a chance of containing some pretty gnarly toxins. Fortunately it was restricted to tussocks in boggy grassland rather than in the better sheep pasture, but there will always come an edge case where the two species could overlap.

I'll have a rummage in my files to find the photo for you if you happen to find this interesting. Or I'll do it anyway since I can't remember the species right off the top of my head, and that's bugging me!

I wouldn't mind seeing that either Transform. I've seen some cortinarius that looks like wavy caps, but not so much liberty caps.

I wouldn't mind being on shrooms whilst looking for shrooms. I've heard of small doses being good to increase visual acuity, maybe this would even aid in finding them?

There's more than one person whom I've met that adhere to this exact philosophy! Psilocybin mushrooms are also known, or at least strongly suspected on the basis of experiential evidence, to increase auditory acuity as well.

Funnily enough that's generally what I do eat the first one I find , I think it helps calm the mind and helps just being present in the moment and solely concentrating on the task at hand .

All hail the lib !!!!
That must be quite some knowledge you've picked up over the years . To be honest I know what I'm looking for but dont have a great knowledge on other varieties if im unsure ill just leave them mainly or take a spore print on some paper , yeah I have seen some where the caps had opened up slightly but as I say I mostly stick to the one I'm 100% on as you say there's thousands of them out there why take a risk on one or two . Most definitely the variations are fascinating just awesome to observe in their natural habitat. Yes if you could find the photos id definitely be interested in having a look
