to use your head, you have to go out of your mind
500g of MHRB , 100g lye, 2750 h20, & 500 vmp.
csnt figure out where the VMP is. he has tried adding 30gs of salt. stirring.. nothing. add more H20. possibly neee to add alittle bit more lye or concentrate lye water. or he needs to transfer it into a bigger vessel. this is the first time this has ever happened and can’t think of what’s going on here. it’s in a water bath now with. a light van breeze. still not seeing change. any advise. i never seen chemistry not work and separate base from NPS

Mix 350 grams of salt with one liter of water, then heat until dissolved, add this to your soup in increments of about 100 ml until clear separation is achieved.
how much salt is to much salt? dude added 15g of salt to each beaker after splitting still kinda got some plant fats or emulsion going on and before that. dude added 15g of salt to the whole batch - day or day and a half ago

Grams is the plural of "gram“ so no capitals are used. But yes!
lol okay just wanted to make sure. and that’s for each. dude did 100grams to 1L each still nothing should i add 250grams to each vessel in increments started to looks good here. then dude went and worked for 6 hours came back and it’s still got or that pancake emulsion layer it came back. dude turned his heat mat up 1/4 turn and put a fan blowing across the top of them IMG_4803.jpeg

possible dude should do a nice warm 120° water bath. wouldnt that possibly help.

EDIT: it was 1L with 200g of salt split into both so each got 500mL h20 and 100g of salt…dude turned up the heating mat to 90° and all he has left is 150g of salt in warm 500mL of h20. stirred it about 2 hours ago noticed there salt that wasn’t desolved at the bottom.

Yes you should have made a brine and add that not just salt and water, for now it will take a bit longer but you are getting separated layers just not enough, time will probably solve it. Slowly heat it up and slowly mix to dissolve the salt.

Good luck

always thought that you just add salt. dude did make a brin like you mentioned earlier the 1000mL to 200g of salt. but before your mentioned that. he always just added salt(no brine). should he split the brine he has mixed up now (500mL with 150g of salt) give it good shake and split between the two vessels aswell. so it would be 175g of salt all together in each vessel or just leave it. water baths to dissolve salt?appreciate your knowledge
