Hey y'all I was encouraged to start a thread of my garden. I have thousands of pictures of thousands of plants to share and the things I learned along the way so knowing where to start is a bit of conundrum but hey.
I'll add some photos here and am happy to dig up more of stuff people are interested in or answer questions or what ever.
Hope you enjoy them half as much as I do!

1000034883.jpgthis is Scopilcola x Oliva, a cross know for reliabily producing weirdos.
I have a few and I gave this one the name "Jave" when I sold some on reddit and got so much shit for naming one. It is a particularly good pheno

Left overs from grafting projects get thrown into a pot and if they make it they get a pot

So awesome and inspiring! 😍
You are a true cactus hero! Everything looks so healthy and vibrant. I'm just in awe 🙏🌵
The real heros are the cacti I just water em but I appreciate the kind words! I sing to them and decorate them and tell them my fears and hopes.
I truly have gotten so much more out of tending to them vs consuming them. I've definitely learned and enjoyed consumption as well, but probably much less that most people realize.
They have a very strong teacher quality as just a plant. And I appreciate that in a way a don't have words for. They talk to me. In emotions, metaphor, and occasionally song lyrics. They have taught me to listen to all plants and my life will never be same again.
A taita (via a friend who worked in Columbia for a few years) says they particularly like harmonica. I've played harmonium for them and I would have to agree. They like buzzing reeds

Beautiful. I love how these medicines paths encourage love and respect and understanding of all life. How the big teachers help us connect with all the little teachers too, and how the thread that runs thru life gets woven into the tapestry of awareness. What do they say? Every plant is psychoactive if you know how to connect with em 😌🌱

Wow what can someone say, you are on point with your cacti game, a true mescaline forest! If you ever need help on your cacti farm just saying I'm looking for seasonal work and accept cacti chips 🤣

That 10 Ribber is epic! That double headed lophophora Williamsii Graft stunner, that ducked up Lophophora Williamsii graft pot is right up my alley! love the shrines and trinkets! Digging your dedicated work area at the back of the green house! This place is screaming love and LOVED and those cacti look extreamly happy and healthy!

Noticed what looks like some Scopucola cacti in the green colored green house middle section? Would love some close ups and info on them if you have any! Scopucola's are one of my favorites. I too have noticed there cold hardiness, I need to get more scop seed to grow that will definitely be on my radar when I order!

Your green houses are breath taking, I could just kick back and watch them grow in my spare time! you have an epic collection and have put in alot of love and work into your space! I dig people who value growing over consuming in excess!

What grow zone are you in? / What are your average overnight lows in your grow zone?

I noticed what appears to be be a light ballast hanging...are you giving supplemental lighting over the winter?
do you heat your green houses ?

Please Photo dump away here, give any details of specific plants you share that you know of!

Lovely cat by the way! There is a --> thread <-- for such beautiful beats especially the ones who us cacti farm and keep away pests

You know a human teacher and friend of mine told me this once.
The cactus mirror the stars and root that energy into the earth.
The big teachers help us connect with the little teachers. I love that and will be repeating it from now on. Very well put

It's too far away but every time I'm out there I'm just basking in it and not getting a ton done. It's the best.

This is from two ish years ago.
1 is Dr Greenthumb scop x MP scop from rmf. I actually cut it the other day and and currently dehydrating it.
1000034008.jpg
This was it at the beginning of this spring the big one on the far right. Next over is a noid scop. Little pup in the front is Ogun and to the left LER X Hz. Crest is TPM

No supplemental light as of now. Those are left over from the previous owners light dep ganja thing.
It got down to high teens one night over the winter. But that was outside. The greenhouse probably adds around ten degrees to the ambient air temp, and the blankets add another 5 and potentially more depending on many layers you use.
There was a few weeks where it was mid 20s outside every night. Day time highs of mid 50s to 40s.
Didn't lose any but these have all been cold stressed many times and the ones that would have died did a long time ago.

So be cautious just assuming the temps people tell you mean anything. It's genetics at certain point.

Oh and the other three are scop x zelly hybrids. The two and the one directly behind it are Hz x Zelly22 or another zelly and the more spiney one made it and the more scop one did not. I can't remember the cross of three but it was a zelly hybrid of some kind maybe Colossus but it also didn't make and I forgot.

Soil is a whole other thing that I can't fully get into right now but happily will later.
The short answer I tell people who claim they don't have a green thumb is to get high quality organic potting soil and cut it with 50-70% inorganic mineral substrate. Like Perlite, but not because fuck that stuff. It's terrible for the environment and it just floats the fuck away into our waterways. So pumice if you want to keep it simple. Lava rock oyster shell decomposed granite are all in my soil.

I should maybe start a thread just purely about soil, separate from cactus even.
Some crazy shit happening just under your feet

Okay the life partner is making food after work and I am going to be present with that.
Thanks for reading my stoned ramblings
May you be safe
May you be happy
May you be healthy
May you be at ease
