I'm going to be doing my first extraction soon, I found a tek on this site that seemed like a good start, but I changed it for my needs. Will this tek work well?

Ratio: 1G Acacia : 1G Lye : 1 mL Naphtha : 10 mL purified water

1. Add 1,000 ml of purified room temperature water to a jar.

2. Add 100 grams of powdered Acacia to the jar, shake hard, set aside for 30 minutes.

3. Add 100 grams of Lye to the jar, shake, let it sit for 30 minutes, then let it sit in a heat bath.

4. Add 100 mL of Naphtha to the jar.

5. Let the Naphtha sit until is seperates, swirl and turn the jar. Repeat this 3 times. On the final time, pull the Naphtha.

6. Place the pulled Naphtha into a seperate jar.

7. Repeat steps 4-6 until you have a total of 4 to 6 pulls.

8. Place the pulled jar of Naphtha into the freezer.

9. After 24 hours, take the jar out of the freezer then pull the Naphtha.

10. Put the jar back into the freezer up-side down to remove any excess Naphtha for 1 hour.

11. Remove the jar from the freezer and scrape out the DMT onto a dish.

12. Cover the dish with saran wrap, and leave in a dark place for 24-48 hours.

13. Harvest the DMT and put the finished product in 1-2 bags and a jar, keep in a dark area.

This should work but I would recommend not just letting a mixture sit with naphtha- mix it around every so often to get more contact between molecules to grab the alkaloids.

Thanks for the tip. :!:

Pulling from a very hot solution results in more oily product, but there is no need to leave the water and lye solution sit for a whole hour after making it.

STB I work the other way round and add lye to bark/water mixture and it happily endures the high initial temperature (just don’t add non polar solvent when very hot).

Why would the mixture heat up?

Mixing NaOH and H2O causes a reaction that generates quite a bit of heat.

Basically I would not wait that whole hour, I would wait until it is cool enough that I can hold the container it is in comfortably and not burn myself.

Oh, alright.
Thank for the tip.

The salt tek that was posted above would work just as well for Acacia Confusa rootbark as it would for Mimosa Hostilis. However, the tek that you posted might not work at all for Acacia Confusa. I have read of other people using STB teks on ACRB, but I tried relentlessly and did not have any good results. I would recommend going with an A/B tek, and Cyb's ATB Salt Tek is one of the most efficient ones I have seen so far.

I've heard of some great results using Acacia in STBs.
I'll look over my options if this doesn't go well.

Believe me when i say i got this all virtually from one pull using 500ML of Toulene across
2500ML of Basified fluid. In 5 Jars.

I ground my acacia into SILT. Then i boiled it in 10% Cleaners Vinegar. With deionized water You honestly CANNOT use too much vinegar.

Simply put.

Have a Collander and a 11.5 Liter pot.
You can get them at Wal-mart for 15.00.
Then you take all of your silt, and you tie in tightly in a very small package of clothe.
Make it like a tea bag. Nothing can escape but liquid.

Simmer, this bag of bark powder in there for 2.5 hours.
Use 2.5 Liters of Vinegar. Per every 10 L of water.
I've come to terms with the fact that over 2.5 hours simmering, at least on my stove you can lose upwards of 4 liters of water.

When you are done Pour the tea, into a seperate pot, and simmer that down.
press the remaining liquid out of you tea bag with the collander, into the seperate simmering pot.

While you use 10L of fresh water, and 2.5L more of 10% acetic acid vinegar.
In the other pot.

When you have 2500ML of acidic tea.
pour that across 5 glass jars and add roughly 175grams - 225 grams of Lye into each jar.
Wait for the chemical reactions to occur and finish.
Then add a mixture of Toulene and Naptha
The Toulene layer will hold all of the NMT Yuremamine and Plant fats that came along for the ride.

the Naptha will hold MOST of your pure dmt.

I did this with 454 grams of acacia root bark.

Trust me. You can see my results. I am going to be posting the conclusion soon.

Have you attempted your extraction yet? I'm curious to hear about your results.

Not yet.
I ran into some personal issues lately.
I'll post back when I do it.
