Need advice!

Hello to all the cacti dude's out there!

I have just ordered my 10 San Pedro seeds from shaman-extracts.com and I am just in need of a lil advice!
When my cacti are big enough to be repotted into there own pots, will the stay relativly small for time being in a pot and not grow too large?? That's my main concerne, as I don't have a lot of space to grow these in.
Also, how long will it take in your experience when these will be ready to do an extraction? Or is there anyway I can speed up the growth?

Oh btw, it'll be my first atempt at growing these beuties so please keep the terminology simple:lol:

And these will be grown in the harsh African sun so yah, if that is of any help!

san pedro seedlings will need at least partial shade for several months, and some humidity
about the amount of light given off by a florescent tube light, and protected from harsh sun and wind

growing from seed is very slow unless you graft the seedlings onto periskiopsis cacti too speed up growth (google how to graft san pedro cactus, or how to graft peyote- the process is the same basically) so dont worry about them getting giant too fast

you are years away from extractable amounts unless you find/import cuttings and grow them out. mature cuttings grow sooo much faster than seedlings(a much better way to go, if possible.)

I heared that by about the 6th month ill be able to replant them into their own pots.
Also how long do you think before ill be able to extract or even just go old school and dry it out and chow it down? I know the taste will be horrible but in my eyes it'll be worth it!

probably around 2-3 years, less if you graft.
but its best to grow it as big as possible first, then you can take a cutting for propagation large enough that it won't take much to grow big again.
you could even take cuttings when they are still kinda young (say even graft em), that way you can double the amount of cacti you got.

when mature enough they grow approx a dose a year (12 inches or so)

You can grow them all in one pot for at least two years I think. It makes caring for them easy if they are all in one safe spot.

Tonight I came across someone on amazon selling 6-packs of seedlings of Bridgesii for $13.

In my experience the first two years the seedling stay <2". Maybe mine were slow, but I can't imagine them growing much faster in those first two years.

You could save a lot of time if you bought some 3" seedlings.

Growing from seed is a joyous experience. I commend your efforts. Cheers!
