Nescaline acetate problems please help

Did 69rond tek on 100 grams pedro powder from CS

Followed tek exactly used 25 grams pickling lime(from W.. M..t),
used 95% FG D_limo from Gr... Terp

3 pulls (soaked 2 hours each) in limo then 3 salts of each pull with 25ml white Vin(5%cetic Acid)

ended up with 225 ml cloudy vinegar. evaped in food dehyd at 155 Deg for 12 hours...scraped up and evaped at 120 deg for 12 hours then chopped up and evaped at 95 deg for 24 hours.
Ended up with 1.078 grams full spectrum Mesc Acetate.

Mow the problem...

put 1 gram full spec mesc acetate in 100 ml ice cold MEK(from Hom.. Dep..)MEK turned dark brown...decanted off and added another 100 ml mek...mek turned yellow...decanted off carefully and dryed sandy crystals left and was lleft with only 48 MG Mesc????

Where did I go wrong??

Unfortunately my roomate threw out the last wash or i would have evaped that to see what was in it!!! I filtered both washes but nothing remained on the filter after drying...

That's no good bro. Swim shouldn't throw away the MEK after washing. Seems like mek wasn't anhydrous and mescaline dissolved in it. Ilpt loose after washing about 200 - 300 mg out of each gram of impure stuff.

Never throw anything away before a satisfactory yield is achieved. The alkaloids dont just dissapear unless something is thrown away. Sorry but I guess there is nothing to help if you did dispose it...

Like kemist said, possibly the MEK wasnt dry, so it carried mescaline with it. Next time make sure its dry

In any case Ive read sooo many times of people having trouble with MEK wash of mesc acetate... Many people lose yield, others are left with inactive products.. I would forget about MEK wash, or make sure its dry and never throw stuff away before yielding all and bioassaying. Impure mesc acetate has wonderful effects anyways IMO... If one wants really pure mescaline, maybe go for HCl...

I am going to try the HCL next...have 400 grams torch powder...

Question...I read phluxs mesc HCL clean up tek...If I dissolve Mesc HCL in a little water than add a lot of Anhydrous Acetone...I understand something precipitates out...Is this precipitate the NON-Mesc Alkaloids??

I want as much of the non mesc alkaloids removed from the Mesc HCL as possible...will this do it or do I have to filter and evap this and then wash with Anhydrous IPA???

or how exactly do I remove NON-MESC Alkaloids from Mesc HCL???

just wash with cold anhydrous acetone and/or anhydrous IPA, this will get rid of all the non-mesc alkaloids.. I never tried the precipitation method as in phlux tek so cant comment about that, sorry.

if it was hcl or sulphate you could boil down the mek/then cool it down for forced precipitation
not sure how it'd work in your case though

edit: boiling flamable solvents is dangerous, flow hood, ventilation, sparkless/flameless hotplat stirrer with stiring bars is recomended, do it outside, dont blow yourself up, gloves/goggles etc...

add dried crude hcl salts to mek
boil in mek, until it disolves
add a squirt of water if it wont all disovle in boiling mek
once it all dissolves, boil the mek down a bit, let it cool
relatively pure mesc hcl will crash out, leaving crud and other alkaloids behind in the solution

Thanks for everyones help...I went over my notes and realized I screwed up big time in two areas...

First for some reason I added 20 ml MEK per 200 grams Acetate(to 1 gram I added 100 ML MEK) instead of 2ML per 200MG(I added 10 times to much!!!)

I should have re-read the TEK!!

Second screwup was that I assumed MEK was pure and had no water in it...Next time I will dry it with Epsom Salts first!!!)

Also if my roomie didnt throw away the second MEWK wash I could have probably evaped that and recoverd a lot!!

Oh well either I ended up with the purest 48 MG of Mesc Acetate ever!!! or I was left with 48MG of who knows what!! Will have to Bio-assay to see!!!
