New to extracting -- questions

Okay so, SWIM is finally getting around to attempting spice extractions. SWIM has begun reading up on the various teks and forums presented here, however, SWIM needs some help from someone more experienced to help SWIM get on the right path to accomplishing SWIM's goals. Any help is much appreciated!

Firstly, SWIM's goal is to create two different kinds of spice.

1. Ultra-pure re-crystallized white DMT for vaporization purposes.

2. Fairly pure DMT fumarates for oral/pharmahuasca administration.

So, SWIM's primary question is this: For someone who is just beginning, what teks should SWIM be following to accomplish both of these goals? What methods should be undertaken for re-crystallization of the spice into a very pure, crystally product? The white DMT needs to be very pure (crystallized) so that a more effective vision can be maintained. Also, is it worth it too intentionally create the fumarate form of DMT for pharmahuasca over plain white DMT? What tek would be recommended for this?

SWIM knows these are basic questions, and SWIM could probably answer them himself by completely reviewing all of the teks on this site, but honestly SWIM is a bit overwhelmed at the moment and could really use the input of others.

One last thing...in order to create Changa, does one just melt the spice onto the herbs using heat? What would be an effective way to create some breakthrough-worthy changa?

i just use the q21q21 A/B dry tek with Naphtha and i get very nice white crystals everytime.
i have never made fumarates so i couldnt tell you anything about them,
i just use the pure freebase orally and it is effective for me.
and i have never re-xed before but im pretty sure you just redissolve your DMT in your solvent and freeze it again.

i have always made changa without a solvent by melting the DMT with a torch lighter and small glass plate(i use the cracked off bottom of a mason jar thats inside the mason jars ring lid part with the tread)
so its safe and convenient.
but yea the DMT melts into a clear liquid (if you have pure white xtals)
and i just mix it up with mullein

Hmm...will Horticultural Hydrated Lime work for q2121's tek?

On the back it says minimum guaranteed analysis: Calcium Hydroxide 95.6%, Magnesium Oxide 0.45%, Calcium Oxide 72.5%, Calcium 51%, Calcium Carbonate Equivalent 131%

This is just something SWIM had laying around. Would this work or is pure calcium hydroxide required?

Funny thing, there was a post about it.
I think he ended up using that stuff and the tek worked. the post was somewhat ambiguous so maybe PM him, says he was last on the nexus July 2 though.

Quick word of praise to q21q21's fluffy white funfest tek...was SWIM's first extraction ever, total extraction time took only maybe what...60 minutes until 1st nonpolar wash was completed? And now 12 hours later SWIM has extremely pure white DMT xtals precipitating out already that don't look like they're going to need to even be washed or re-crystallized again? Ridiculously easy tek...and amazing product. Hats off to you q21q21. SWIM will most definitely have to try some jimjam once d-limo is aquired.

Hmm...quick question though...SWIM had his quart jar/snow globe (precipitation container) out after most of the naphtha had been poured off...and then, without warning, all of the pretty white xtals re-dissolved into the little bit of naphtha that was left in the jar! SWIM figured, oh well, SWIM will just set a fan in front of it and let it dry. Well, all that's left in there now is some barely visible white goo. So, SWIM was wondering, is the entire first pull screwed? What can be done to avoid this?

I've had that happen before, now I make sure to have the precipitation container upside-down as soon as it leaves the freezer.


I'm pretty sure you could just pop it back in the freezer, maybe add a little more naptha if needed.

Worst case: If that doesn't work then you could just use some herbs to wipe up the goo for DMT-herbs.

SWIM tried that with his 2nd pull and still ended up with a good portion of it dissolving...SWIM thinks that using a different precipitation container could maybe solve the problem. I guess that quart mason jars are just not very good for the job.
