200ml ?.... were u using shredded or powdered mhrb and is that 200ml strained?
when i use 100g mhrb my solution is up around 600-700 ml
edit: i just saw the recipe you used called for 20g mhrb....please add 80g to that 20g
I'm using powder and 200 ml is deionized water straight out of bottle

I just noticed that you have solvent in the jar that you're giving a water bath too with the stove top on. I hope you had/have a lid on that vessel...

One love
Yes I did got these glass jars with air tight lids I heated and cooled one for testing and it held a slight vacuum

Did I appear to do the process right from the few pics that you seen? I really appreciate you taking the time to help me with this! Your a legend my friend

From my own mistakes, I can recommend ensuring that you are using a proper Pyrex dish with a tight lid and that you place a sheet of foil on that dish before closing the lid on top. Otherwise, naphtha can leak in your freezer and you certainly don't want that.

Good luck.

Yeah my freezer smelled awesome

I notice your recipe just has the one vigorous agitation of bark soup and naphtha before letting it settle and pipetting off the naphtha.
Most teks nowadays will recomend a series of three or more less vigorous agitations ( such as turning the vessel end over end for a minute ) waiting for settling out to occur between agitations ( it should only take ten minutes or less to settle ) before pipetting it off. That gives DMT more chance to dissolve in the naphtha.

If I use 100g of mhrb and 700 ml how much naptha do you use
my solution is around 700ml and i use 30-50ml of naptha.

i prefer to pour the entire solution into another vessel, then back into the original vessel as my method of stirring/shaking.
i do this 3 or 4 or more times each time the naptha separates

science has proven warm water helps, i see you have the pot on the stove with a thermometer.
what was suggested to me here was to buy a sous vide appliance.
they can be very inexpensive on amazon etc ($20+)
it maintains and stirs the water at a constant temp which is important and makes life much easier.
i am glad the recommendation was made to me and its now part of my regular apparatus....oh and omg learn how to make chicken with it for curries.... the best ever!

apparently im quite greedy😂😂😂
tbf, I largely only did my smallest extraction to annoy a troll, but if you ever need to do a coffee-mug-sized extraction it is rather easy - especially if you have some Pasteur pipettes to hand.
