Hello, welcome!

Virola resin contains principally 5-MeO-DMT, and is best prepared from fresh bark. All the attempts I've read of using dry bark were unsuccessful. So, unless you have direct access to fresh plants, I'd suggest you scrap that idea.

Chaliponga would yield fairly pure N,N-DMT if extracted in a standard way. You'd have no need to fiddle around with "resin" if that were the case.

What has given you this 'resin' idea, especially wrt chaliponga? How would you envisage using it? What prior experience do you have with psychedelics or any other drugs? What is the motivation behind your desire to explore?

With leafy/waxy plants I find best results if I include a defat. If you can get lye might as well pull with np solvent…but if you cannot get lye etc and need to pull with polar solvents then a defat does make a difference.

Who cannot get lye? It's literally the easiest chemical to buy.. just buy some drain-o. Why would you use a polar solvent.. you got the freebase from the lye solution and you want to separate it from the water. Adding a polar solvent will only mix the freebase back into the lye, you want to use an apolar solvent so you get two layers. One with the freebase and one with everything else.. use a pipette to separate and now you got the freebase isolated. Not sure about the next step but you can take the long way and let the solvent evaporate or maybe put the solution in the freezer and see if the freebase crystallizes.

No one is suggesting to use a polar solvent. Before writing such dismissive posts, at least make sure you have actually read correctly what you're replying to.

so i'm just asking because I don't know why and I'm curious but why cant one use HIELO or Q21Q21's TEK or Amor Fati's TEK? They're both dry teks? Does it just not work? or is it not as efficient? Will Chaliponga teks also work with Chacruna?

Leaves tend to be fatty, but general principles should apply while likely requiring a few modifications or cleanups.
