Nomans tek and dab heat plate vaporization

I'm posting for a friend. He has been using Nomans tek for the 5th time. He is very pleased with this tek and feels his last pull of 1.5 grams from 250 was exceptional. He has still been using the ammonia wash with no issues and has done a heptane recrystilization. The product of 1 gram of pure crystal from first two pulls and .5 from 3 and 4 has a tint of yellow, but appears outstanding. His technique with the dab hot plate has produced multiple break throughs from previous batch. Now for the problem. Applying same vaporizing technique to this new batch was such a disappointment. My question is, can he be heating the plate up to much? this hasn't been an issue in the past at all. The previous batch was pretty grainy like sand, kinda brown and had been sitting around for over a year. This batch is fresh, white, fluffy crystal. Could it be more sensitive to heat? Could this spice that appears to be exceptional be a dud? Both extractions came from the same plant matter, using the same technique. Any advice would be great.

Its more likely your vaporization technique then anything else. If by dabbing you mean dropping the material onto a hot open 'nail' and breathing with a pipe like with cannabis extracts your likely to lose a lot of material to side stream and not be able to really control the temperature. DMT is easier to consume with 'oil burner' type pipes when compared to things like dab rigs.

When getting the finer crystals they are in my friends experience more sensitive.. My friend have tried everything in smoking way and in the end he/she went back to the sandwich method if smoking pure crystals. The trick is to mix the up with ash AND build the sandwich as well with more ash and Caapi leaves for example. Then when smoked inhale slowly with your stomache applying just enough heat for it to glow. Take only one big long hit and hold it over ten seconds and you can not fail.

For the oil burner it works better with more goo like bark spice in someones maybe Elvis point of view.
