Does healing go on most during the experience or the morning/day after?

I have my own opinion but I want yours!

That's a complicated question. If a single event causes a chain reaction of healing that takes years, which is more "healing": The initial event that caused everything to change or the eventual change? What about the decisions that led to the initial event? Example: When an addict finally decides to bring himself to rehab, which is a bigger change: The rehab process, or the internal changes that led to the final decision to go to rehab?

It's hard for me to say that more healing occurs in subsequent days (more like weeks/months for me) because there would be no "after" without the initial event. And then I have to wonder when the real initial even actually occurred. Maybe the birth of the universe was the initial event. Maybe all of time has been one big healing process whereby matter and energy that was separated from birth is eternally coming back together (more like clumping).

I've had it both ways although more often than not, it is in the process of integration that I feel the most healing/learning from plant teachers.

Many times, in the middle of an experience, I feel I'm just not qualified to process the info I'm receiving. Like the experience is for receiving only and integration afterwards is for processing. Like a plant teacher will hand me "the medicine" but I'd best not "swallow it" until in a square headspace.

I realize this may not make any sense, lol.

A specific problem I have when I try and process with a "head-full" Is being unable to discern between the meaningless and the meaningful. For instance, when I try to process on the go, I can easily end up coming back with teachings/healings like "shaving the cat is the key to bliss" and "you can now release your fear of margarine". Funny, but it all seemed so deep as I was wading through the mists of hyperspace/shroomspace.

I guess what I'm saying is, I reserve judgment until I've come down. I don't "mark" an idea/teaching/healing as meaningless or meaningful until afterwards when the integration begins.

I try to keep pen and paper nearby and write down anything I'm able.(Sometimes it's just scribbles and indistinguishable marks though.) This morning I got the bright idea to use the voice recorder on my phone which I'll try on tomorrow evening's Fungus-N-Changa buffet. I'm hoping that working on my "note-taking" will aid in the integration.

Nice replies! I personally think it's more of a pondering of the experience rather then the experience itself.

Perhaps.. Waiting dormant for action to spark a chain event?
