Not working with Diethyl Ether or white gas on both A/B and STB

Migrated topic.

Hey Guys,
SWIM tried A/B like this:
20g Acacia leafs with one third of the soup fresh lemon juice, evaporate most the stuff
add Ether to putify - almost right away it goes into its own layer. Mix a lot but nothing sticks to that layer even after an hour.
So SWIM quit defatting and mix the soup with NaOH to reach about 12pH. Add ~100mg Ether again and mix a lot. again it goes into its own layer very fast. No color or anything sticks to it. It's still in the jar, SWIM didn't try to evaporate it yet.

Then SWIM tried the STB:

break Acacia bark into a bowl of 13pH of water + NaOH. Waited two hours with cacual stiring and squeezing of the bark with a potato masher. Dark red color.
Both ether or white gas (each tested seperatly, of coarse) doesn't take any substance even after long stirring. It's transparent. No emultion, nothing. Tried to evaporate a sample with each and nothing seems to be there.

HELP!
