Odd looking spice

First off, hello and im glad to be a member now! I just recently bought some DMT from a friend of a friend, and when he passed it to me at our smoke table it looked like an olive colored dirt. i passed it back to him and said "thats not DMT". I do my homework haha. He passed it right back and said "dont worry this dude is legit, ask tyler". My friend, tyler lets call him, looked at it and nodded. These tiny tiny olive green almost pellet like dirt seemed to suit him. He told me he haddone DMT before and this was exactly what it looked like. Mind you that tyler wouldnt lie to me. He told me he loaded the exact same stuff(from the same guy) in a pipe on top of some ground up herb, lit up, and had his life changed. I was wondering if this seller used some kind of extraction method that would yeild DMT looking like this or if i just have a completely different psychadellic. Hopefully i can get my lame ass camera to work so i can post a picture, but in the mean time, does anyone know if this is really DMT?

It could be dmt, but post a pic and in the meantime work to extract your own so you won't have any doubts.

Extracting dmt is very easy, you will know exactly what you are getting (and not be smoking maybe dmt but maybe something else, or maybe dmt with toxic impurities), you wont be supporting someone who's disrespectfully making money out of this substance, and there wont be risks to the whole community by involving purchases (and calling attention of law enforcement)

DMT is a crystalline white solid at room temperature. If it doesn’t look like a crystalline white solid, then it is either DMT contaminated with impurities or not DMT at all. Consume at your own risk.

I have brown clumpy kinda powdery dmt that has been washed with sodium carbonate but not re-x'd and i can assure you it is potent dmt. It's maybe contaminated with other plant oils and other alks but if you're talking about pure dmt then i suppose your right

That's right - I was talking about pure DMT. DMT contaminated with plant oils and "mystery mimosa alkaloids" may actually be more potent than pure DMT, but it is obviously not pure DMT.

Thanks guys,:d it's good to know there are so many people with a higher level of knowledge about the spice or i'd be lost . I plan to visit the elves for the very first time this weekend, i'm a very expirienced sally d user fyi, so should i expect any similarities at all? any advice? The best advice my friend gave me was be in a dark room alone, however i plan to be outside in a forest, bad idea?

Dark Room alone Good idea if you are confident enough, outside in a forest you can do it, not a bad idea but you will find experiences differing inside from outside, safe travels.

I'm sorry .... I dont mean to insult your intelligence, but, is there a chance it was Changa?

The description you give is pretty good. Maybe your friend had DMT infused in Caapi or ?

I havent seen any dirty jungle spice that looked olive color, ever.

I understand that darker spice can be extremely potent. What your describing sounds different.

I extracted some full spectrum that could have been considered an olive color.

The method used was a very messy variation of the cake method :

100g MHRB soaked in methanol for 2 weeks. Then a couple of heated pulls done.
These combined pulls were left to evaporate mostly. It formed a big gooey, nasty clump that wouldn't really finish evaporating. So I redissolved the clump into some fresh methanol and added a strong NaOH solution and pulled with xylene.

It produced a very sticky, dark brown paste. I could never get it to solidify so I made some changa with it.
The mullein turned from green to orange after it was infused. My friends say it's the best changa I've made yet.

It was .5g mullein : .5g pau d arco : .5g really pure syrian rue alks : 1g full spectrum
