Hi everyone,

I am 47yrs of age and have had a relationship with various psychadelics from the age of 17. Love them. Over the past year I have been experimenting with DMT almost daily. Mostly vaping and smoking and more recently experimenting with the extraction processes and searching for plants in South Africa that contain it. I look forward to learning, sharing and discovering more about this beautiful chemical. I am interested in the various processes used by fellow members and what sort of yields you getting, currently we getting 3.948g from 400g of hostilis powder using the method and equipment used and are expecting to extract more as we experiment with it. I had to edit/change my reply because I think I was high and misunderstood the math the first time I posted. Now that I'm more sober: Your DMT looks fine but your yield is actually a bit low for 400 grams. I usually get over 1% and some folks get over 2%.

The key to higher yields, confirmed by an actual chemist here (@benzyme) is doing smaller extractions. I and others have had our most fantastic yields (2%+) from 50 grams of extracted bark. Keeping your starting materials in the 50 to 100 grams range, proceeding slowly and carefully, using different size pipettes to get all of the solvent and doing at least 3 pulls (some do 4-5 just to try to get every last molecule out) seems to maximize yields. I'd love to hear what other folks have to say on this.
