our two brains and how they see things

I've been sucking down some TED talks - love that site - and came across this, which may already have been posted here, and my apologies if this is the case.

However, in the event that you haven't seen it, brain scientist Jill Bolte Taylor's account of suffering a stroke is very interesting for the kitchen neurologists amongst us ...

much of what she describes will be familiar to those of you who have travelled to hyperspace; and yet her experience came as a result of damage to the left hemisphere of her brain, shifting her awareness into the right side of her brain.

It's very compelling.

I have watched that TED talk at least 5 times. Still gives me chills when I watch it.

Fascinating talk.

I must say she has recovered well from what is often a catastrophic event.

If you look VERY closely she still has a subtle weakness of the right side of her mouth, with a mild assymetry in the furrows which run from the edge of the nostrils to the angle of the mouth.

The dissociation she decribes with the feeling of euphoria and cosmic oneness reminds me ever so much of intramuscular ketamine...
