so i had a bare-root penis plant shipped to me, got it in some soil (regular potting soil, i currently am out of cactus soil)
put some used coffee grounds on it for fertilizer (a small layer on the surface, not much), watered it (w/ miracle-gro nutrients).
the first two days it seemed to be fine, but then it got some black spots
but i am not sure if this might be a natural process, as these dark spots all look a lot like these light "scabs" that are found all over the plant
also, the first time i watered the cactus, i got some water on the "head" of the "shaft" (and actually all over the cactus, as i use a mister to water; but this is the only part of the cactus that had a reaction), and the skin got light spots where the water drops were (only in this specific spot, and almost the rest of the cactus got at least a little wet.)
i realize that neither of these are probably anything worth worrying over, but should it be something serious, i should like to know asap to deal with it accordingly
thanks for your time and your advice ♥
