Phalaris STB

Hiya all, been a lurker for a little while here, and just had a couple questions if you don't mind.
I am currently in the process of germinating phalaris brachystachys seeds and will be doing a lazyman STB extraction. I was wondering if in the ratio, the grams of phalaris have to be equivilant to the grams of NaOH ? If i did less phalaris it wouldn't hurt because it would still be the same PH? I don't plan on doing a large scale extraction i was thinking maybe like 10 grams of phalaris in 500/600ml of water with 100g of NaOH. Also is freezing and blending a MUST? I honestly don't mind but out of curiousity i was wondering if i could just get some scissors and cut the phalaris into tiny bits and pieces.

Okay i realize i probably should have put this in the 'extraction help' section but i was in a rush. But i don't think i will be able to do the extraction anymore because i don't have a place to do it at anymore (the NaOH and Naphtha DO produce strong odors, right? If i'm wrong please correct me). But i'm getting a wheatgrass juicer, so i was wondering, i read somewhere that you can run the grass through the juicer, evap the juice, then smoke the tar. Is this possible? And if so, should i use a lightbulb vaporizer?
