Pinch of tobacco in my tea

What are your thoughts on oral ingestion of tobacco as a tea?

I just dropped a tiny pinch of fresh American Spirit in my tea and I'm drinking it slowly, sip by sip. Nicotine poisoning can be fatal but there isn't enough tobacco here to even make half a rollup. I wouldn't do it with cigarette tobacco (sacre b....BLEURRRRGHHH) or anything other than American Spirit/Pueblo as they are additive free.

I mean, lots of us want to stop smoking. Why does it *have* to be a case of stop tobacco? I imagine a nice dose of tobacco would have some very interesting psychotropic effects. I use smoked tobacco as an entheogen/sacrament, it gives me similar feelings to what 5-MeO-DMT users describe though I know they are worlds apart in action.

Let's see how this goes...

I've eaten fresh nicotiana rustica leaves (tiny ones, like the size of a quarter)
and gotten strong stimulating clear headed effects without any nausea or headache, although I am a smoker.

I quit smoking a while ago but still enjoy occasional piece of patch/gum for its anxyolitic properties that it has on me. 1/4 of a 21mg patch is great in the morning to get some work done, just watch out for utterly bizzare dreams

A relevant quote from longecity:

There is a saying in research circles, "nicotine is a good drug with a bad delivery system". It has shown efficacy for ADHD in several studies and performed as well as ritalin in a comparison study.

I also believe that stop smoking does not mean to stop using tobacco. I suggest you try snuff, i.e. snorting tobacco. It is much safer than ingesting it and despite its addictive potential it is really not calling you back, though this might be different from person to person.

I have drunk ayahuasca many times with a pinch of tobacco added..be very very careful about doing that..even half a cigarettes worth is too much..I think someone once said 25mg was a good ammount..dont quote me on that though and do research yourself into oral mapacho or tobacco doses. I was always eyeballing very small ammounts to go into brews.
