Someone did the ipa sodium carbonet tek and was left with dmt smelling red goo now when it was scraped and is going to be redisolved in 91%ipA :( does one filter this or just reevaporate
 
You will want to get some 99% or 100% IPA and do it with that.

91% is partially water, so evapping this will take some time and you'll get goo symptoms.

I even had a small issue once with 99%, so if you can get 100% IPA, that is the way to go.

EDIT: Forgotten Detail!

If you are forced to use 91% IPA, you could try using a small desk fan set on low to assist with evap over the course of 24 hours or so? Just a thought.

Sorry so would one filter the ipa from the red goo after it has dissolved as much as it can , thus evaporating the ipa and being left with now almost sodium carbonate free spice
 
Couple of things.
Might be worth doing several pulls with IPA, pooling the extracts and evapping that.
Secondly, if you have epsom salts, drying them in the oven at circa 450F and adding them to your IPA will allow it to remove water, and give you shorter evape times after you've got your IPA/DMT solution. The epsom salts can be reused to dry more solvent, drying each time.
 
the problem with water in your iso is not so much a slower evap time (water evaps reasonably fast, especially when over 90% of it is alcohol), but rather the fact that water is more polar and MIGHT pull some impurities.

really it shouldn't matter all that much, tbh.

also filtering the iso definitely won't hurt, so if you want to, you most definitely can.

also also, make sure to evaporate in a very well ventilated space.

when its all evapped, i like to add a little bit (you don't need much) more water and re-evap to dissolve any leftover alcohol in the water, and evaporate it cleanly.
 
may try adding the water but for now the product is ready to be scraped off of the glass baking sheet and it smells heavily of the wonderful smell will try and then post
