Poor man's FASA maybe?

Me again.
Cost wise, can it be part of my tech to only use my FASA after freezing out the DMT-oxides,JimJam DMT and DMT crystals, from my zylene? Beneficial characteristics of zylene is that these other good guys, are also being extracted from my base mix?!?! Then I need a very small amount of FASA to presipatate the crystals, or goo that will become hard now?

Can this be part of Ouboet's tech? Is there reason to my thinking?
The bit of impurities after the freeze tech, will also be sorted out by FASA, I presume?

Sorry to say, your thinking appears to be rather muddled here (good job you asked, to view this as a positive).

Xylene doesn't give any product by freeze precipitation. [And DMT-N-oxide is very unlikely to be present for that matter.] FASA allows you to crash crystals out of the xylene without having to evaporate a solution like you would do if collecting acetates using vinegar, for example. And evaporating all your xylene would take ages as well as stinking badly.

FASA will precipitate almost exclusively just the DMT, whereas a vinegar wash will collect all of the alkaloids. So, you could follow up the FASA with a vinegar wash if you're interested in seeing what the FASA leaves behind. Bear in mind that it can take a while for the fumarate to precipitate fully.

Freeze precipitation works for things like naphtha and heptane. FASA only works with naphtha if you spike the naphtha with some anhydrous acetone first, otherwise the fumaric acid tends to precipitate.

How would one do the vinegar wash?
At what stage do I do the vinegar wash?

Would I presipatate the zylene with the FASA, and when I am Finnished with all my pulls, add some vinegar to the zylene, and shake it?

That's about right. Do the FASA first and collect the crystals. Then wash the remaining xylene with vinegar to see if anything has been left behind. It may be a good idea first to do an evaporation test on your vinegar to check it evaps cleanly. This is where being able to get hold of a distilled vinegar concentrate (or 'essence') would come in handy.

With this simple test we'll have a bit more certainty about what precipitates from xylene with FASA - even a negative result with the vinegar will be useful, if you're prepared to make your own small contribution to the science

Once again, thank you for the response. To concentrate the vinegar, can I maybe add fumaric acid to the vinegar? It's a food grade product.

You wouldn't need to concentrate the vinegar - the point about the vinegar concentrate was actually that it is free from non-volatile material. Even distilled vinegar can have additives like bisulfite because, at 5% acetic acid, it's still possible for some microorganisms to live in it otherwise. Sodium bisulfite would leave a residue in an evaporation test.

You could check to see what may have been left behind by the FASA by washing with aqueous fumaric acid instead of vinegar, although fumaric acid has poor solubility ion water. Thus, there wouldn't be much point to try adding it to vinegar either.
