Possible safety hazard?

Is it a possibility that leftover Noah could be absorbed into naphtha would this be a safety hazard (dumb question I geuss). I think there may have been some on the side of the jar that a freeze precip was done on should I be concerned ? What would it look like if mixed with dmt and what could I do to fix it?

Unless you had lye on the jar already, or you had some of your aqueous layer carry over. I don't think you have anything to worry about. I always re-x my crude products though as this is the only way to ensure that you have as clean a product as possible. It's quick and easy so it should be done. I doubt you have lye on your freeze precip jar unless you used that jar for storing your lye or something.

or dry the naphtha over magnesium sulfate

Could you explain this process on more detail?

Never mind... A quick search explained the process...

A better way to dry it is chemically using anhydrous magnesium sulfate. First dissolve your DMT in a tiny amount of warm naphtha or heptane (no hotter than 55 C, check it with a thermometer). Use just enough to dissolve the DMT. Then add anhydrous magnesium sulfate until the anhydrous magnesium sulfate no longer clumps when you add it. It absorbs the water and forms clumps when there’s water present only. Mix thoroughly and then filter out the anhydrous magnesium sulfate. Then freeze precipitate the DMT. A tiny bit of DMT will be present in the anhydrous magnesium sulfate, which you can recover by pouring a little more naphtha through it
