I live in the UK and last autumn I found several hundred P.cyanescens. Since most shroomers in the UK have little knowledge of them I'd like to hear what fellow shroomers in the States have to say about them. Any info much appreciated.

I'm in Hampshire and I know where the cyanescens are there, I also know where they are in surrey. Since they're originally from North America I suspect they favour the warmth of southern counties but recent forays on mycological websitea suggests otherwise. They may become a very common species on woodchips, the open and loose structure of which provides easy pathways for the mycelial threads. I found no libbies last year either, I'd given up all hope and then, in early october, when I wasn't even looking, I found them!

I was merely stating that it is equivalent to 1 or more likely, 1.5 to 2 grams of dried welsh liberty caps. Upwards of 2 grams of good quality libbies is in the 'breakthrough' territory. At least that's what 15 years of fragmented dreams of consuming them have lead me to believe. Although the wavy caps themselves only entered my dreams last year, liberty caps have always been there. I presume you've eaten P.semilanceata?
