SWIM would like to cultivate some psychotria viridis plants but is unsure about many aspects of the cultivation process. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Does anyone know how fast psychotria viridis grows if kept under ideal conditions indoors? SWIM realizes that there may be many underlying factors that could affect the answer to this question such as soil and lighting conditions. SWIM would also like to know how to go about harvesting leaves from the plants so as to not stress the plants and greatly disrupt the growing process. For example, how many leaves can be harvested at a time and from which parts of the plant? Thanks in advance.

im going some psychotria viridis...and first i suggest you spend some money and buy some rooted cutting...trying to get these things to grow from seed is a looooong process...the great thing about viridis..is all you need to do is peel off a leaf from the stem..and you can use that leaf to sprout more plants....and yes they do grow 'slow' but keep them fed some good organic food...and clone the hell out of them...once they get big....

i feel its going to take at least a year before i even think of harvesting these things..if anything..im just gonna clone them until i run out of room...then most likely i might open a store...

anyway....i have 5 psychotria viridis...and possibly one psychotria alba...its kinda a gamble buying psychotria..because there are a lot of places that dont actually sell the viridis...but there are places out there...anyway these plants are under CFL's and they seem to be enjoying it quite a bit...

one GREAT thing about viridis...is that they are fucking tough plants...even if you think the whole plant is dead...dont give up on it...keep it moist..but it may mold on the top of the soil after awhile...but if you just keep with it..it will grow back after a few months..

my psychotria alba(maybe) actually went through a terrible freeze...on new years my door blew open while i was away and froze all my plants (10F degree weather) anyway...i lost a lot of plants...kratom...salvia...i thought my psychotria...but low and behold....after like 3-4 months...she sprouted out another shoot...
