Purging DMT in a vacuum oven?

A friend of mine has access to a vacuum oven, one that is used for purging out BHO they use a 5cfm vacuum pump. He was wondering if we could purge the DMT (made a few years ago by just evaporating the naptha off) we were thinking throwing it into the chamber setting the temp at 95 degrees Fahrenheit and pulling it under vacuum with the a 5 cfm pump. Any advice? Any one ever hear of this?

Also have not been here in over a year glad its still thriving!

You'll probably disrupt any crystals and end up with goo if you heat it at all, once it is molten it won't crystalize as well. You'll probably want to make sure your material is already air dry, because any heat will increase the solubility of the DMT in any remaining solvent -> molten goo. No heat should be ok though.

So dont even add heat just leave it at room temperature and pull the vacuum? I am super curious on cleaning up some of this DMT I have not had a break through in Over a 18months and was thinking if I could purify this some more it would make for a nice experience with my girl and my cousin more like several experiences this was made back in the good ole abundance of mhrb days

The OP hasn't posted here under that name for about ten years.

I'm guessing you're interested in removing naphtha residue from crystals of DMT freebase. There are several approaches that can be taken, and these depend on the availability of solvents, plus how important it may or may not be for you to end up with a crystalline end product.
