Hi everyone,

Started this tek today and right now I m just waiting for it to dry and get to consistency 2, "top of an apple crisp".

This is my first attempt and I never eat apple crisps so I m not too sure about the consistency 2. Right now it's been left to dry for about 3 hours, it's like really thick, slightly humid sand (sand might not be the best word), quite crumbly already. If I pick a bit of it between my fingers and press on it it will retain a shape that will crumble very easily if I touch it. That's not ready yet is it?

Also I've got a question about the bowl that contains it, there is about in inch between the top of the bowl and the top of the mixture, but in between (stuck to the glass) there is some dry lime and a bit of dry mixture. I imagine that before pulling I should wipe it clean so the naptha doesn't get mixed with that pure dry lime, could you confirm?

My earthling friend tried this tek for the first time this week also. The process began Monday morning and as of now, Saturday morning, the product of the third pull is drying. The consistency you describe sounds very similar to what he used, somewhere between consistency 1 and consistency 2. This worked just fine.

The crusty material on the side of the bowl above your mix will not be a problem. The earthling scraped it into the mix as best he could but don't sweat it.

This tek worked very nicely on 100 grams of Brazilian MHRB. The first two pulls yielded 800mg and the third pull looks like about another 300mg or so. The humanoid will continue pulling until the return is too small to make it worth the trouble. The mix, once basified was allowed to sit for 24 hours before pull 1 (Tuesday morning). Pull 2 was Wednesday morning. Pull 3 started Friday morning. In each case the naptha was left in the mix for about 1.5 to 2 hours. The bowl containing the mix was set in a larger bowl with just boiled water up to above the mix level. Stirring every 15 minutes and replacing the water with new hot water as needed. After pouring off the naptha, he used a big spoon to press on the mix and squeeze quite a bit more naptha out. The container, a 6"x8" pyrex baking dish was wrapped in two layers of saran wrap, then covered in aluminum foil and put in the freezer overnight. The earthling is very happy with the fluffy white results. The attached picture of the whole dish is the third pull drying. The other one is a closeup of an earlier pull. Aren't they just beautiful?

Materials:
distilled white vinegar from Safeway
Mrs. Wages Pickling Lime from Ace Hardware
VM+P Naptha (purchased online - can't find it in SF Bay Area
Tap water (well water) boiled.
Brazilian MHRB from a reliable source.

I think I might leave it overnight, originally I thought it would be ready within 6 hours (from reading someone's report on here), earlier it was next a window but the wind is cold so it probably didn't dry as quick as expected. I m busy all tomorrow so by the time I get back it should be ready, if it's too dry I ll just add a bit of water.

Interesting to read that you left the bark in the naphta for a while before pulling, I read that if you leave it for 15 min then pull then repeat it works too. Looks like it doesn't need to be a proper precise way to do it, that's good to know!

I ll scrap the crusty bits into the mix now so that's ll be out of the way.

Yes, precision is not crucial, I think this method is quite forgiving and less trouble than what I'd been doing. (extracting into canola oil with sodium carbonate then doing the acid/base extraction from that.) this is much less messy. I try not to rush these things. I figure if a 15 minute pull is good, why not go longer and hopefully get more for the money. Good luck with it. Let us know how it comes out.

Hey Kalagan,

The third pull weighed out at 375mg, fourth pull 185mg and with a decidedly jungle tinge. it will be kept separate and to see if it isn't more full spectrum than the fluffy whiteness of the first three pulls. That's 1.36% yield so far. I'm going to let it rest for a week and try one more pull (or two?) before composting the mix. 60mg was assayed this afternoon with a GVG. Very high quality, deep breakthrough. This tek is much more effective and less messy than the Earthling's earlier attempts. I hope your process is coming along ok.

Well as it turns out, it's gone pretty well I think, I've done 5 pulls yesterday and after a few hours I could already see lots of crystals forming on the bottom and sides. I was gonna pour out the naphta today but I didn't have time so that will be done tomorrow, about 48 hours after going into the freezer. I'm happy, it definitely worked, if I didn't do something very well I think it will only affect the yield but the DMT is there so that's positive.

I will write a little report when the process is completely over....and then will come the time to face the Mystery and get my toes in the water..

I had some time yesterday so executed a fifth pull which yielded a somewhat waxy 45mg. I think I squeezed this material for all it is worth.
