Question about fumarate to freebase conversion

Hi all,

I'm trying a new extraction method for the first time and I'm having some problems.

Here is what I'm up to:

• I followed the Q21Q21 Jimjam party extraction tek to get to the point where I had DMT-infused d-limonene
• Once I had DMT-infused d-limonene, I followed BLAB step 4A onwards until the fumarate conversion step where BLAB suggested switching to type 3 sodium carbonate paste pull

Now I have a dried mixture of sodium carbonate and DMT fumarate. Then I added 50 mL of 100% IPA to that mix and stirred it (this operation is meant to be repeated at least 3 times). I then let it sit and pipetted away the liquid on top. The liquid is murky yellow, but an LLM rightly or wrongly suggests that it should be clear, and it's saying that I may be dealing with a sodium carbonate contamination caused by presumably some accidental introduction of water. It suggested that I should dry the whole thing again to return it back to fumarate-sodium powder and then start IPA pulls again, this time it should be clear. So I attempted it (dried it in an oven on 55C heat, fan-bake mode) and once again ended up with murky liquid. I gave it a warm bath, which I thought should help me dissolve DMT into the liquid and potentially clear up the clouds, but it didn't help.

I would appreciate if someone could help me figure out how to proceed here!
