Question on making Jungle Spice with BLAB Tek

Hello again Nexians!
As mentioned in a previous post SWIM has a bit of used Lye/MHRB mix (slurry) that he wants to be done with! He has already done several naptha pulls on this mix.

The goal is to make "Jungle Spice". He has obtained D-Limonene, IPA, and Vinegar. Fumaric Acid isn't an option at the moment. Would he be right to start at Step 3 of the BLAB TEK? Would all the amounts of everything he needs to use be at the same ratios? Would anything at all change? In the BLAB TEK 250g of Lye was used, this is double the amount that's in SWIM's slurry. Does this mean he should divide the amounts of each chemical used in half?

I have done a good bit of research on this so hopefully I'm not way off here with this approach. Your help is greatly appreciated as always

Yes you can just follow from step 3. Doesnt matter if it's not same amount of lye, as long as your basified mimosa mix is black, youre good

Hey guys, I have a few more questions on the BLAB TEK!

Step 4C reads “Mix your limonene pulls with vinegar in a 5:1 proportion (so if it was 100ml limonene, add around 20ml vinegar). No need to be exact. Pull out your vinegar away from the limonene. Do this for a total of 3x, and the limonene can now be reused for more pulls on your mimosa or saved for a future extraction.”

The only question I have here is how heavily can you mix the vinegar with the limonene? Should you shake or gently roll around?

The Last step reads “Add excess sodium carbonate to your dmt acetate goo. Add a bit of water to make a paste and mix well. Then dry the paste. Mash the chunks as it dries to make the process faster. Powderize the final product, put in a glass container and add IPA or acetone (both will work equally fine). Make sure your acetone or IPA are dry (99%+), otherwise they will pull sodium carbonate/sodium acetate along with the DMT. Mix well, let the powder settle and decant/pippete out the IPA or acetone, into a new container. Do this 3 or 4x. Evaporating this will yield you dmt freebase, but it is very possible that it wont crystalize and will remain as a goo (potentially because of presence of more dmt n-oxide formed when evaporating the acetates, or maybe vinegar pulls more plant oils from limonene than when doing fumaric acid pulls? who knows... ).”

My questions here are:
How much sodium carbonate should be added to the DMT Acetate goo? Just a bit?

Should you add just enough water to make the substance “paste-like”?

Then, how much Acetone should be added?

After the acetone is added and pulled, what do you think the most efficient way to evaporate this would be? Warm water bath? Or just leave out in an open area with a fan on it?

Would recrystallization with heptane and the shot glasses on the stove method be a good idea for the “goo” after the Acetone has evaporated?

I know this is a lot of questions, but this is the last piece of the first puzzle for SWIM. He needs to get to a point where he’s not wasting any slurry, and if this is done successfully this will be a huge step!

Shaking increases chances of emulsions, stirring might be better.

Excess sodium carbonate, you can't go too much but you could potentialy underbase, so better add more

You can add more water and mix, it wont b a problem, except you have to dry it properly before pulling with acetone/ipa later

Look at the pictures in BLAB, maybe twice the volume of the powder in acetone? Even less if you want.. Anyways the important thing is not to throw anything away and you'll never lose anything

Acetone evaps REAL fast, no need to use fan or waterbath, just leave it open

SWIM now feels fully ready to do this starting now!
He's working with limonene because he is working with slurry and apparently it pulls things that the naptha couldn't? I guess the same applies to heptane?
Also an affordable source of heptane is hard for SWIM to find and he doesn't want to evaporate it. The goal is to simply have the purest DMT possible, and I assumed recrystallizing the goo with heptane would achieve this?
