Recrystallization techniques?

Hello,

I am interested in trying to make yellow/orange spice into white spice.

I've found heraclitus tek and read the instructions on wiki.

But I still have questions: Can you guys give me links to any more good recrystallization techniques and HOW DO I get the naphtha warm safely? Is hot water bath for naphtha in a shotglass enough? I just really don't want to work with naphtha and heat together, and I have gas stove...


The simplest technique I found was written in this post:

Would it be enough to do those steps, or does it require more details?

I must add:

This technique talks about only two "pulls"/recrystallizations, however, I would recommend doing three or four. Obviously it will be somewhat less pure, but there won't be anything wasted at least! And even after four re-x's one still has the goo leftovers.
