Rising Star
OP makes a great long story which I do not think is fiction, but it is psychosis and paranoia which are very real dangers from psychedelic use.
After my very first trips I had a voice in my head that appeared first thing in the morning. If (a) I had worried about this and focused on it, and/or (b) began to think this made me special or was conveying special powers - I could have gone the same way.
A fairly strong personality is needed I think, and although the psychosis/paranoia seems fairly rare on here, its not rare enough. We do I think need to help newbies to enjoy contact with entities, respect but not to take threats or gifts seriously. We are what we are, entities cannot change that - nor can they enhance it, we do that ourselves and owe those changes to nobody else.
I'm a newbie at this stuff but I am with Anne and Doc. When I see something that looks like it crawled out of the rusty end of hell, I look at it and try to understand it - its a great part of the experience. I don't think some people realise how powerful they are, if you are being bullied in hyperspace its like Hodor getting bitch slapped by 3 year old. Not because the entities are weak, some may even be gods as we define them. But you are a god too especially in your own domain.
Western society has taught us to kneel, worship, cower and consider a system of authority. But the gods meet us as equals, and from what I can see there is no Authority, just experiences, emotion and interaction. When you kneel, worship and hand the keys over you are just asking for trouble.
Have you ever wondered what you would look like as an entity to others, your full personality fully symbolised and open to view? Who's to say we aren't just meeting each other in there. What is it we do in those periods we can't remember anyway?
