I second that. I now believe that house does not give 100% accurate information re to the cactus resin. And psychosisdoses did not mention in the beginning about the theobromine boost.

I'd like to see cleared information. If you drink green tea all the time please state it. This might make a difference re to the potency. if you snort tobacco, smoke weed, drink alcohol, take st john's wort, drink valeriana before sleep or whatever then please state it, just for the sake of helping us understand it!

Has anybody experience any nausea from this resin?

Does everybody leave the waxy skin on? It's doesn't melt or boil off right?
 
so far what i have noticed is that everyone that has tried this tek...with citric acid...has had an amazing time on relatively low doses...

and house didnt create this tek...he is just passing it on...and it works great...i dont understand why everyone is getting on his case for eating a few datura seeds...or having a beer with the experience...this stuff lasts so long..obviously you are gonna want to drink some coffee...or smoke some weed..or whatever..it happens...but that doesnt change the fact that this stuff is potent and so far we have had QUITE a number of people reporting the exact same thing...so take it or leave it..but we dont need to start giving people shit for getting excited about something extremely amazing...

this is a wonderful WHOLESOME technique..its easy enough for anybody to do..and the magic resin that it produces IS strong
 
The thing is, this was SWIM's first tech. He did it many times and finds all of this potency stuff very hard to believe because of that. SWIM is speaking from experience.

Ancientpledge is stating that 5 grams of resin was equal to about 100 micrograms of LSD. So that would be about 300 mg of mescaline for SWIM. That would mean the resin is about 6% mescaline. That sounds very reasonable to me and would correspond to SWIM’s own findings with this very old tech.

You guys should extract and purify the mescaline from the resin so that you know exactly how much you’re actually getting. I’ll believe it is nothing at all near what you guys think you’re getting.

SWIM's really convinced to try this tek and see for himself, so you did a pretty good job at convincing him to give it an really honest go!

P.S. It is OBVIOUS to me there are WAY more alkaloids in pedros that potentiate the mescaline.
we have no idea how these alkaloids synergize.

house have you had the same effects from eating the dried or fresh cactus?..or do you think it has something to do with the citric acid?

I can seriousily get a very nice all day long experience with visual enhancement and empathic glowy feelings but not visuals persay off just 5 dry grams of my dry cactus chips..so I dont think it is the citric acid..however..I do notice a difference in potentcy with my mushroom teas when I add ascorbic acid..never had cactus tea yet.

Does anyone know how many other alkaloids are in torch?..becasue I have never had pachanoi..only peruvianus? If torch is just mescaline than other alkaloids cant account for my experiences either..I kept thinking I was sensitive or just lucked out and had real strong cactus..but now it seems others get off with low doses as well..

I will try making resin in the future..I only have 4 doses of dry cactus left and I am fine eating it becasue I want the whole cactus for healing my digestive tract..then I will cut my torch and take cuttings and make some resin with the middle section..
 
A) This is a very old tech. Thousands of people have already done this tech, including SWIM, long before this thread ever started. This tech and slight variations of it appears on Erowid, and in several books.

B) This tech is simply tea that is evaporated. It is no more potent than the tea it’s made from. You add citric acid, that’s it. So it doesn’t form any new alkaloids or make the existing cacti tea any more potent. SWIM already did this tech and knows himself it doesn’t make the cacti tea more potent.

C) I am NOT trying to get people to use pure mescaline. This is a good tech for people who want a simple tech. It works well for what it is. SWIM used it in the past, and it did the job as expected.

The people reading this thread will try it out and see for themselves what this old tech is really capable of. You have a few people who’ve extracted pure mescaline HCl who are reading this thread who have the abilities to find out exactly how potent this resin really is. I’m confident that someone will test it and find out the resin is approximately 5-15% mescaline depending on the source cacti used.

For there to be 6 strong doses from 12 inches of cactus, you’d need about 1800 mg of mescaline per foot of cactus. That’s very hard to believe. The vast amount of data out there says that’s very improbable.
 
I have not had the same results with eating it dried. I have a sensitive stomach and prefer not to go about it this way. I have tried, though...maybe I just never ate enough. Hurt my insides, personally.

The resin does the complete OPPOSITE.

I don't know how all of this works I am only reporting what's happening because I am a very experienced and sensitive psychonaut.

Yeah I know what you mean..it bothers my stomach as well..but not until about 6 hours after I take the cactus..but I feel that the digestive irritation is a healing thing, like with aya..I always feel healthy the next day. I need the healing I had stomach problems for a long time.

I guess the resin would have those same benifits though since it is a full spectrum plant extract..I have some resin that I made a while ago but I did it with alcohol and not acidic water..it's been sitting out for quite a while so I am sketched out about taking it.

Would the resin you got from the tek easily redissolve in a small glass of hot water?..that is how I plan on taking it when I make some..

Ya I know what you mean about that as well! The second time I ate torch I almost puked while swallowing it..last time though I was eating little bits throughout the whole day..I sort of got used to it..strange as that sounds!
 
here is a good tip for anybody trying to collect that last bit of resin...put some more water in it...just enough to absorb anything in there..and then evaporate it again in a smaller container..or something...it will help a lot

I really do wish I had some fresh cactus. I keep checking this thread for conclusive findings...but realize that in the end I am gonna have to pony up and see for myself.

I think that for my morning coffee additive.... acetate is where its at. I know what its going to do. I know I can handle 80mg as a boost for a good day. I'll even take 100mg when I play golf. Its effects are dependable. However, if I am dosing a campsite full of friends then a less precise method would be just fine as under doing it is easily fixed... and overdoing it is probably gonna be ok.
 
SWIM will surely try this, but he's fairly disappointed in the fanaticism and hostility exhibited on this thread. If it works amazingly, great, but we have some brilliant members here who won't be satisfied without some explanation in the matter. The goal starting a tek thread is to develop it and to ensure repeatable results for everyone, regardless of individual differences of resources or diet or what-have-you, is it not? This requires inquiry, which may come off as prodding, but it is necessary. If you truly feel slighted, make some good out of perceived hostility, rather than return it.

If SWIM didn't know any better, he may not think so well of the cactus from the sour tone of this thread--something to consider in all areas of the Nexus, really. Let's get it together, brothers and sisters.
 
Wow guys. I will also be trying this out soon. I get on chat and this resin is all you guys are talking about. LOL!!!! As soon as I get some cash flow i've gotta try this out. I've been wanting to do mescaline for quite some time but every time I try I get little to no effects. I have a gallon of d-limo sitting around waiting till i have the money to buy some cacti, but now I may not need it. We will see.

My skepticism is strong, but I might be COMPLETELY WRONG. It's possible that your claim of such a strong experience from such a small amount of cactus material is authentic. I don't know. I wasn't there.

۩, if the Pedro was actually Achuma, which some vendors sell as Pedro, the potency can be extremely high. I've heard of people getting a very strong trip from as little as 4 inches of Achuma cactus.

An extract of Achuma can have little mescaline, but still be much stronger than Pedro. The non-mescaline alkaloids in Achuma have a very big impact on the potency. SWIM did an A/B on Achuma once and found that 75 mg of alkaloids from it was as strong as 150 mg of mescaline. It was twice the potency it should have been. Clearly the non-mescaline alkaloids present were either highly active on their own or boosting the potency of the mescaline.

There is little work on Achuma. Most people use Pedro or Torch. But I know Achuma is sometimes sold as Pedro and visa versa. There are at least a few vendors that I know that regularly sell Achuma and call it Pedro.

It's possible you have a very potent Achuma or a strain of Pedro that's actually stronger than what's been documented and possibly stronger than anything SWIM ever had.

With Achuma, a 4 inch cutting can produce a trip like that of 300 mg of mescaline, but only actually have about 150 mg. The other alkaloids present are the cause of this. So a 12 inch cutting of Achuma could have 450 mg of mescaline, but be as strong as 900 mg. That is close to your claim of potency, but that's for Achuma and not Pedro. I've not heard of Pedro being that potent, but still, it could be.

I'd like someone to get to the bottom of this. SWIM cannot extract anything right now. He's way too busy to mess around with extractions of any kind and also very broke, with negative funds in the bank, and overdraft charges...what a mess. Too many bills, too much work, and not enough money:( So finances are his greatest concern at the moment.
 
This was the standard looking pachanoi. Short spines, very green, 7 ribs, top cutting grown in full sun after the summer. It was pretty thick.

Didn't have any of the electric qualities of achuma (T. Bridgesii) that I am familiar with.

This was not bought from the internet, like I said, I practically grew up with this thing and have worked with it in the past.

Overdraft charges piss me off so much...!
 
1, Efortlessly one can use fresh chopped(diced) cacti and just extend cooking period, insted of preparing and drying outer flesh

2,Instead of boiling off water from standar cacti tea it`s better to boil it down a bit and then just evaporate at lower temp.

3, House is blessed by possesing an amazingly potent cacti ( San Pedro). Congratulation mate, well done.
Could you give us some of that potent shit.lol 😉
