having a hard time finding a moderate Salvinorin A dose via mucosa injestion method planning to use a
1.5mm X 6.3mm custom blotter sheet (thick as a nickel - quarter inch squares) the idea would be to hold the paper between cheek and gum

searched for a few hours and getting some verying results from 200ug up to 2.5mg anyone here have experience with oral doses of salvia or crystal salvinorin ?

It is very unlikely to work. I've tried sublingual/buccal salvinorin A dissolved in a small amount of acetone at doses up to 10mg and it did nothing.

Salvinorin A is very resistant to absorption. Some speculate that there are other compounds in the leaves that aid in absorption.
 
I think eventually someone will work out how to get a salvinorin blotter to work, but as gibran says, it doesn't look like it's readily absorbed sublingually. Personally, I don't want that day to come, because that's just another reason for the powers that be to want to make it illegal. It could easily be called "The New LSD" etc. etc. Scare tactic, fear mongering, etc. etc.

isnt it already illegal in most of the united states? its illegal in 27 states according to http://www.sagewisdom.org/legalstatus.html - gonna look for that article and edit this when i find the accurate numbers but i remember seeing smething about 4 or 5 more states are making it illegal in jan 2012

im just wanting an easy way to dose - would be convenient to rip off 10 or 20 and pass them out to friends at a halloween party

wow not sure if i could get 10mg on a piece of blotter not to mention that would be a waste if i could get it to work at 10mg

There is speculation that there are compounds in the leaves that somehow aid absorption. Also keep in mind that when using a tincture or quid, the amount of salvinorin A in an effective dose is probably much greater than 10mg.

Yes and no. 300 micrograms or so in the brain will produce noticeable effects, but different routes of administration have different efficacies with respect to absorption.

One of the traditional methods of using salvia involves eating large amounts of fresh leaves – chewing them slowly and swallowing. It is thought that most of the absorption takes place in the mouth, so the slower the leaves are chewed, the more effective the dose. Regardless, large numbers of leaves must be consumed. I’ve read that 13 pairs, 26 pairs or more are used. A large salvia leaf can weigh up to 1g dry, and leaves may contain 3mg/g salvinorin A per gram of dry leaf, so a dose might contain 150mg or more salvinorin A. Not an efficient way to consume it.

Contrast that with vaporizing pure salvinorin A – a dose of 500-750mcg will produce strong effects (although comparatively short-lived).
