Several failed extrations

Basically I would kill for someone to point me in the right direct.
I have tried several extraction on my own and each time fail miserable. I've gotten to the point where you're supposed to freeze the pulls and after several times I'm received no crystal or anything resembling the crystals shown.

Ingredients I have
Naptha both ace hard wares version and V&P naptha.
A good amount of MHRB powerder ( which I think was the root of my problem)
Clean ammonia
a vast array of jugs/jars with lids, spoos, crock pot, ect
lye not some half and half lye or anything 100% straight house hold lye
I've tried several different tecks on my own a few months ago and failed. SO I figured after all that I'm left with what seems to be all the ingrdients I'd make a post as noobish as it seems and just ask for help.
I'm not chemist or anything just a normal person who became fascinated and the nearly indescribable trip of DMT. So please if you have any advice to give or a link to a teck you think would work for me you'd have my thanks.

Well, maybe you could tell us a bit more about how you perform your extractions, otherwise we can't help you.

Also, where did you buy your mhrb ?

The ammonia wash might be the culprit, if you've used it every time. Drop the wash!

mostly erwid and a view other tech. Mostly what what happen is when I got the pulls I'd get this yellowish liquid into a jar which look about right. I'd free is and get nothing. If memory serves it would go something like add a mixture of vinegary to the root bark. boil for a bit. add naptha. extra naptha which was a pain the in ass the make sure none of the brownish shit got into it. then I'd have a jar full of that yellowish liquid. freeze it. then I'd get nothing. I've left each try in there anywhere from 3 days to like a week and a half. most I ever got were these little clumps that the second they left the naptha melted. I got the rootbark from some website I can't recall, but I also bought ungrounded root bark awhile back and it has the same exact smell

My biggest problem problem seemed to be when following these techs they'd be relativity simple up to a point where i'd get confusing and I'd fuck up. So I guess the most help would be if an experience user could recommend an easy tech just to get started.

Hey buddy. I don't think your bark is the problem. Even though I have no idea where you bought the bark from, it sounds like you don't have a standard procedure down to get the desired results. If using MHRB and have never extracted before, then the "Noman's tek" you linked to is pretty fail safe. I used it when i first extracted and it worked like a charm. The "yoda tek" is pretty out of date and has extra steps that prove unnecessary when using MHRB. Have a look on the Nexus Wiki for some good tried and tested teks. If i was you i'd stick to an STB tek for the sake of simplicity.

I'm pretty sure you were dead on. I have the ingredients I just had no clue which recipes to follow. Thanks for the help I'm trying the Noman's tech seems pretty fail proof.

Ok so I went through all the steps and got my naptha in the freezer. This morning there's some chunks of what appear to be ice stuck to the bottom and some flakes floating in the remaining naptha. Is this right or did I manage to screw up again? >.< Also I took a knife and dragged out on of the pieces they melt. Should I continue and filter it out then dry it or did something go wrong. Thanks again to anyone who's helping I know how much of a pain in the ass it is to talk someone through someone that should be simple.

I used 1500mL of water.

Today, I used the rest of my pound of shredded bark.

I used 3 jugs
1500ml distilled H20.
100g Lye
100g Shredded Bark

I let the mixture sit for a couple hours.

I put in 1 cup of naptha into all of the jugs.

I let them sit for around an hour after shaking very hard every now an then.

I pulled up as much as I could from all the jugs with a turkey baster and put it into 1 jar.

And I set it in the freezer with the lid on.

That's a lot of naphtha at once, to freeze precipitate, you would have to evaporate a lot of it off.

It might be best to salt the DMT out, with distilled vinegar or fumaric acid, and then freebase it again. That way you can reuse all the naphtha and still get at the spice.

Edit: Other than that, it sounds like you're doing great!

So after freezing I had several ice like chunks at the bottom of the jar and some little spots of ice at the bottom. there was still a little bit of naptha left in the jar. I pour it through a coffee filter and the chunks melted back into naptha and there was no powder left on top even when dried. What'd I do wrong?

The ice-like chunks were probably ice. There's no way you'll be able to freeze precipitate three cups of naphtha with only 300g of bark. You either have to evaporate the naphtha until it clouds when you breathe on it, or salt the DMT out with vinegar or fumaric acid.

Me and Rovarusty are doing two completely different things. I followed the noman tech to the T and all I got was ice.

Sencala, once you have pulled the Naphtha from the MHRB solution is the Naphtha cloudy or clear? If it's quite clear it might need evaporated down a bit until it's cloudy and then put it in your freezer. How cold is your freezer?

Also if you are getting crystals at the bottom but they melt when you take it out of the freezer to filter then try filtering inside the freezer (if your freezer is big enough). If you got crystals stuck to the glass after you filter it then leave the glass in the freezer for a few hours (I leave a gap in the lid so that it can evaporate but that can make your freezer stink of Naphtha!), turning the glass upside down with the lid on while in the freezer would also allow any droplets of Naphtha to run off of the crystals. After a few hours put the glass in the fridge to let the rest of the Naphtha evaporate and you should hopefully have no more melting crystals

Yes when I pull my naptha it always has come out clear as water. I'm not sure how cold my freezer is I only have one in my house and it's a household one. But I crank the settings colder whenever I'm attempting to freeze DMT.

How would I go about evaporating it down until it's cloudy. I'm guessing a double boiler pan settup and low heat? I'd rather get advice about evaporating naptha from people who know what they're doing than the interwebs....

btw to anyone wondering my mix went something like this.

3 cups of water
50g of lye mixed together
added 50g of powdered root bark.
1.69 oz of naptha per pull
not exactly what was call for but it's as close as I could get with the measuring tools I have.
I've also heard using powdered root bark calls for more water. Is this true?

Also something I've always been confused by. When putting naptha in the freezer are you supposed to keep a lid on it or seal it?

I swear I must rank top 10 worse DMT extractors lol

Sorry Sencala! I didn't even look at the name, just the (lack) of avatar.

Please keep the naphtha away from any flame. I believe the flash point is low enough that even an electric stove is dangerous.

Just put the naphtha in a well ventilated area, like next to an open window. Putting a fan over it will help it evaporate faster and keep any dust floating around from getting into it.
