slimey naptha ?

i have a question im new on dmt extraction ( sorry for my bad english)

i did a a/b extraction i think ^^

i had 50gramm mimosa hostilis

i used hydrolchloric acid n water ph 2-3 addet the rootbark poweder heat itbelow 50°celsius
wait 1 day repeat it 2 times each 1 week

no my problem i defattet with zippo lighter fuel ... shaked it long time and the result is after 24h the naptha is now a slimey liquid :?: :?:

is this the normal way ? i removed it with turkeybaster

after this i want add naptha again naoh to basify ...

but i worry to fail

Perhaps if you posted a picture of your slimey naptha, Im certain that there will be a Nexian who would then be able to advise you

Did you do an evap test to see if your solvent evaps clean?

As corpus callosum said, maybe a picture can help. Is it possible its an emulsion that formed in the defatting step?

Lastly, you dont really have to do this defat step IMO, its a waste of solvent and wont really clean up much. Just proceed to adding the base, and make your naphtha pulls normally (considering you have a clean solvent)
