Very sad if so, man I don't wanna give this up.
My first attempt caused quite a bit of discomfort, I was coughing and wheezing for around 15 minutes afterwards. I'm pretty sure that I overheated the spice.
I'd just like to add, that as far as alkaline burns...in the mouth...lasting 6 month long...might go, I have to call BS as well.
The tissue of the inner mouth & throat is 100% replaced every (i think) 2-to-3 days!
That is why when you bite your lip, or cheek hard enough to break the tissue, it begins to heal almost immediately & is generally totally back to normal within a day or two.
If you've actually had a lesion in your throat for six months (& were not just trying to emphasize your point...), you seriously need to see another doctor....SERIOUSLY!!!!
Because you have a real problem!!
Also the pH of crystallized DMT....extracted correctly...will pretty much always be the same. How much you basify your solution during extraction has absolutely no effect on the pH of the final result!!
Unless of course you are not pulling, or cleaning it correctly.
You are not actually making anything in the extraction process!!!
The DMT is already 100% there in the bark as a salt....in it's "acidic" form!!!
-You are simply removing the dirt & bark fibers from around the DMT molecules....
-The lye is just creating a chemical reaction, that allows the "Acidic DMT" molecules to drop a proton & convert to their "basic" form, or "Freebase DMT".
-Then you allow them to crystallize together, forming the smokeable solid we all know & love!
If the extraction is done properly, there should be no lye left over....just the freebase DMT.
