Smoking device (bong pipe) size effect on potency

I have found conflicting opinions on this topic and was wondering if it might be useful to shed more light on it.
The Changa wiki states that,
"Fairly large bongs tend to dilute the smoke but is generally allot easier for inexperienced users. A small bong, around 10cm high, will give you a very strong and direct experience. The smoke goes straight from the cone to your lungs with very little air in the chamber to dilute it-".

However, some posts seem to suggest that the size does not dilute the potency or that a larger device will result in a more potent hit.

"Warning- if your using a bong and really hit it hard it is possible to vape an entire 100mg hit, so please start off with a half solid bong rip until you know how it hits. 10"-12" inch bongs especially!"

More quotes-

"I have a 30cm straight glass bong and it is epically efficient, it feels like the perfect size.

As long as your bong feels comfortable it will be fine."

"I like a big one, mine atm is around 40cm or so in size. Smile
I`d say it makes little difference, and is just a comfort thing, stick with what you have."

I'd say it depends on your lung capacity and how large a chamber you can clear in a toke.

My lungs are f-ed from 30 years of cigarettes and weed, a little hand held bubbler is my go-to for herb, but a good 13 inch graphix works great for spice since i can fill that chamber and pull it in one good toke if i want to.

I don't usually use bongs for spice tho.
