so..mescaline

so me and a group of people all want to try mescaline. basically what I'm asking is what the starting dose for a spiritual experience for a novice in hallucinogens and a veteran? I was thinking for a novice around 350-450 mg for a spiritual experience (so they don't freak out to much but still get something out of it) and around 750-1000mg for a well seasoned psychonaut. correct me if I'm wrong but that's what i believe to be a ideal dose from research, just wondering what you think??
 
Now, I haven't personally tried pure mescaline (just cactus tea/resin) so I can't draw on personal experience with it... but from what I've read, a good starting dose is more in the 250mg-350mg range and a heavy dose in the 350-500mg range. The dose also slightly depends on whether you have mescaline acetate or hydrochloride, if I remember correctly you need a little less than I mentioned if you have hydrochloride as opposed to acetate.
 
For me mescaline isnt even slightly psychedelic until you reach the 500mg mark. my very first dose i took 400mg's and was pretty dissapointed with the psychedlic properties. I find 800mg's to be a full blown mescaline experience. It is different with everybody though i am 150 lbs.
 
I dunno really since i have only taken cactus tea and flesh. But from what I read in reguards to adverage % in torch flesh I think 500mg would be a strong dose for me..maybe the cacti I have is like 4-5% though who knows..maybe it's the other alkaloids in the cacti as well. I have tripped quite hard from just 12-15g of dry torch flesh. Some day I will extract this stuff and find out I guess.
 
It's been some time now but 350-400mg was threshold level for me but I am sensitive to most entheogens. I had 750mg once and it took me from the shimmering brilliance of the enchanted land; turned me end-over-end into the fiery chasm of ego death and deposited the witness of the perceptual field into the Void. As small as I felt, I somehow knew I was consciousness itself and that my awareness was something eternal. I still feel the Spirit in my heart... but how much of a good thing is enough?

Organics are even more difficult to measure, given the nature of organic species. I'm speaking of peyote but I assume it is identical for San Pedro? When I was nearing the point of purging on 3 medium buttons, then on the other side of the purging, I imagine I was vibrating at the same level as the equivalent trip on 450-550mg of extracted Mesc?

I say, better to err on the side of caution until one hears The Calling... :idea:

I think that 350-450 is a good starting point. For me 450mg Mesc Hcl is a great trip, but far from heavy. Remember, you can always redose, maybe just pack a few boosters if you want to go further. Have fun, mescaline is amazing!
