So I pulled out of my closet a milk jug a quarter full of mhrb/ lime/ vinegar sludge from q21q21s tek #2. It was from my first extraction and I knew there was more spice in there to be pulled. Upon examination, I noticed a distinct layer above the sludge that was not solvent. I poured it off, and realized it was a water/plant oil emulsion that wouldn't separate. There was also a miniscule layer of solvent that I didn't bother with. I opened another smaller more recent jar and had the same experience -mixed the emulsions together. After I had poured it off, I noticed that swirling the jug in a circular manner for a time revealed fat layers of solvent that I thought had disappeared from my first extraction attempt. Maybe the solvent was in emulsion with this oily aqueous solution. Anyway I heated the jug and pulled about a full cup (!) of solvent that was slightly yellow, which led me to believe it was of high saturation -especially because its been in the closet for months.. But now I have an excess (around 3/4 cups) of this oil/ water solution and I know there's some spicy shit in there, jungle or otherwise. I just have no clue how to extract it. I tried filtering it but its so thick I got maybe 3 drops for 5 minutes in a coffee filter. Maybe the best thing to do is let it dry to a pasty consistency and eat it post maoi. Or make acetate? I don't know. Besides this tek and freeze precipitation, which I have gotten better and better at in terms of technique and yield, I don't know much about oral ingestion and different forms of spice.
