sodium carbonate with lye ph boost?

my friends donkeys uncle has a half LB of some mimosa, but sadly only has 75 grams of lye and cannot get any more, could one do a STB with alot of sodium carbonate get the ph to about 10-11. then boost it with the 76 grams lye, would this work? the AB tek is possible although it calls for alot more liquid and limited bottle capacity. any help would be much appreciated

75g lye is more than enough for an a/b of a lb of bark, 60g is enough. Buy a cheap aluminium stockpot, use distilled water bottles. Both are ultra cheap and as long as you reduce after boils like a sane person volume will not be a problem and your spice will be cleaner.
