Sodium Carbonate

I'm about to perform a Harmala Alkaloid extraction and I've forgotten to order some Sodium Carbonate online.
Would anyone know, can I use Soda Washing Crystals ?
They are sold locally in shops and are easily available.
Am I rite in thinking Soda Crystals are Sodium Carbonate but in a crystal form?
