I don't think so. If you do that, it should form either an oily clump of yellow DMT, or a pool of yellow oil.
What you described is almost exactly the process Delafonze19 describes to turn pure white DMT into a yellow oxidation product thereof. He discovered it attempting a "dry" recrystallization, as you suggest. On the other hand, he reports that the yellow spice or yellow oil it produces is subjectively much more enjoyable than the white spice.

Jungle Spice writeup, Section III.4. Currently it's a bit sparse, but SWIM definitely plans to try some of this stuff out next time he extracts.
