Sphere has died....

Migrated topic.

Hmmm, i do not know if people here knew him personally , i did not.

But today upon visiting his webpage i was shocked to find out that he died, aged 52 years old.

Sphere used to frequent forums under the given username as well as few others. His main area of expertise was Salvia Divinorum. In this field, i believe, he did lots of work lots of experimentation giving very sound guidelines on extraction as well as approaching salvia.

His webpage remains online with lots of techniques and commentary on salvia. I believe it contains really interesting material, amazing pictures and quite fine tuned techniques:

Has anyone got any more information on this person? Was anything mentioned in other forums? It seems as if he is forgotten so easily...

Very sad. I think I rememeber him from the Edot forums. I used to spend a lot of time working with salvia and chatting on Edot.

I’m so sad to hear this. I last corresponded with him on Edot in May 2009, and at the time he was serving in Afghanistan. (He posted as Twilight on Edot.)

His salvia extraction TEKs are the best out there, and his photos of salvinorin A crystals are incredible. He will be missed.

ahhh, rest in peace sphere. I enjoyed our PM' here and on other forums in the past 2 years..thanks for the extration help bud..a pioneer of salvia extraction for sure..you will be missed...have a safe and wonderful journey into the next world..

May Sphere rest in peace.

In my opinion the vision producing substances we know about today are just the beginning of the exploration of consciousness through the use of molecular keys. It's obvious to me the most exciting future for mankind is an internal exploration, that the real frontier is the human brain which is far more powerful than any silicon or carbon based computer will ever be. Leading edge research in consciousness is ever confirming that our wetware parallel processing self-conscious brain is more than just an isolated self-conscious entity but something which has an ability to interface with the universe on a quantum level. Although I cannot prove this or claim I know the following as fact; I believe the use of molecular keys known as entheogenic substances can sometimes allow us to have a interaction to a greater mind which is not only human awareness alone but an interconnection of all forms of sentient self-aware consciousness which through that connection can join as one with one another. My hope is that we will continue developing these keys to allow new conscious doorways to be opened and see our progression in this field to be the real lasting frontier for mankind to advance forward into, a future which has no end.

That is sad, I didn't know him but my sympathies to those who did. I hope he's on the most exciting journey of all now. Does anyone know what he died of?

Just remembered this thread and thought I ought to bump it in light of new information. Sphere has not died after all. Before the entheogen.com forums went down, Sphere (under the username Orb, if I recall correctly) made a post titled "News of my death has been greatly exaggerated." Turns out he just hadn't been active online on any entheogen-related forums for a while.

Viva Sphere!

That's good news, but who would start such an awful rumor?

No idea. He seemed both confused and amused by it. I really wish I could find the thread, but I'm not having much luck with the parts of the site archived by google. Hopefully edot comes back online sooner or later. It sure ain't what it used to be, but there was good information in there.

Super glad that Sphere is still alive!
Alive or dead, I get and LOVE the quote above! Thanks so much for sharing it clouds, and thanks for bumping the thread Entropymancer (I had not read seen this before).
Most importantly thanks for writing it Sphere! Perhaps the rumor of Sphere's death had it's appropriate value after all.

Peace,
-idt

Poignant quote.

It matches my sentiments quite well. Rick Strassman basically says a similar thing in his "Inner paths to outer space."

Why people imagine that our minds are not able to interface with reality other than as a passive receiver of the 5 overtly obvious senses always confounds me. Anyone with any real mystical or deep entheogenic experience knows Sphere's conjecture to be subjectively true.
