Sticky Crystals

Hi all, hella new to all this and tried my very first STB extraction. Found that after freeze precipitating and evaporating, the crystals on my glass tray stick to it and when tryna collect my makings, they easily powder. Is there a way round this?

If you have large crystals that you want to preserve, you'll have to tenderly "pick" them off individually. Otherwise, your experience is pretty standard. Precipitated DMT doesn't have enough cohesion to avoid being "powdered" as you scrape it up.

There are ways to precipitate large crystals, if you're so inclined. I haven't done in myself, but am aware in involved a slower evaporation and moving saturated solvent to a smaller container to aid in larger crystal formation.

The search function above should help you find some post that are more specific and concise in a process that can result in big ol' xtals.
