Storing Ethyl Acetate and preventing leaks?

My research noted that Ethyl Acetate is usually stored in very sealed materials and in a special ventilated cabinet in labs, because of its fast evaporation, Mine came sealed in a tin container with a metal seal that I can already see being an issue after opening.

I need a solution on how to reseal the opening of the container. Any ideas would be appreciated, especially if you already dealt with this issue.

My current ideas:
-Use teflon tape and seal with the metal (tin?) cap to prevent leaks from the opening,
-high density polyethylene (HDPE) container or custom HDPE cap,
-glass with silicone cap,
-alluminum foil under the cap to tighten the potential leak,
-put container into a plastic bag and seal to prevent smell, but no real solution to problem.

The idea you have with the PTFE plumbing tape around the thread of the spout under the cap (if it is indeed threaded) would be a good place to start. You can wrap more around the outside of the cap to cover up the gap as well.

Do you have a picture of the opening to the can, and its cap? This would help eliminate some guesswork.
