Migrated topic.

anybody have some recipes?

i wanted to try this out tonight. do you think a whole bar of 99% cocoa chocolate will yield a good experience?

i thought of getting 2 bars of 99% chocolate for me and my best friend who i am meeting up with tonight. i wanted to melt each bar down in a hot water bath and then mix each bar with milk in a 1:1 ratio.

does 1 bar of 99% chocolate contain enough theobromine to really notice the effects?

I once ate 100g of raw unroasted cocoa beans in one go. It was definitely nice (albeit bitter but the raw cocoa taste is an acquired one) but nothing spectacular.

It felt under the category of "subtle but noticeable" effects for me which is not much different than say, drinking a cup of chamomile. It definitely did not grabbed be by the balls.

Worth a try, chocolate's always nice.

Kola nut is a much better experience. It has theobromine and a few other alkaloids that make it VERY NICE.

Try Chocomind if you want a strong chocolate experience. 5 of those and you WILL feel it.

Chocolate is very enjoyable.

Goes great with 'Shrooms.

The boys in Oz did alot of work with Chocolate and the chemicals it contains.

Entheogenic Chocolate Use in Mexico

Anyone who has tried chocamine at doses of 2g and above will know what an amazing substance this is. Far from the wishy washy arguments in the medical literature whether theobromine is a major stimulant, taking what is equivalent to about 50g of fresh cocoa seeds is the closest thing I've ever had to the effects of MDA without having a PEA structure. There wouldn't be much that would be more revered in a society than a substance that can make you feel THAT good!! And just how accurate is the translation of FOTG anyway? How can we be sure that it doesn't mean "food that makes you feel like a god", or "food that lets you commune with the gods", or "food that is so special that only gods are allowed to eat it".

Do y'all know about Cacahuaxochitl?

Check it out too.

Chocolate gets you high as shit y'all.

Three tablespoons of Hershey's Chocolate Syrup (the kind in the can) is enough for very noticeable effects. I mix it with 1 cup of half and half and it tastes like chocolate ice cream. Drink it down in about 5 minutes for best effects. I've not had good results from candy bars, because I can't stomach that much chocolate. But for some reason, this syrup in a can is very potent.

what is the experience like. Is it a strong stimulating buzz or a psychedelic experience?

Kolu nut is not like coffee. It’s much smoother than coffee and much stronger than tea, and more euphoric than a high dose of chocolate. It’s not psychedelic on it’s own, however it makes other psychedelics MORE psychedelic and increases the visuals, especially color depth.

Kolu nut is primarily euphoric. It makes you feel tingly all over. It energizes you very slightly. It’s also considered an aphrodisiac by some people. It is very popular in some parts of Africa.

Yes it is possible. I read the tech for it somewhere. The tricky part is separating the theobromine from the caffeine. I also know an online seller who sells pure theobromine. It's not regulated you know.

I've seen theobromine extract sold, and peeps on Entheogen.com have recommended the 25x stuff.

As for choccy bars, mmm! I've eaten a whole bar of Green and Black's 70% cocoa solids many a time, to no noticeable effect other than feeling satisfied and worrying that I'll get fat. 90% chocolate is similarly ineffectual and doesn't taste as nice. If you're eating anything with sugar in I think you're more likely to just experience a sugar rush.

I buy pure cocoa from the supermarket to make cocoa with, so I can get my fix without getting fat. Just milk and cocoa, microwaved. You get used to the absence of sugar quite quickly. I think I'm a bit dependent, I drink it every night mmm! But the effects aren't noticeable.

Three tablespoons of that syrup in a can above is definitely very noticeable. I know the effects of theobromine quite well, and can easily feel it from that product. That’s the only chocolate product that has worked as is for me.

By the way, I don't get a rush from sugar no matter how much I eat. It will just make me feel ill and sluggish if I eat too much sugar. I don’t believe sugar actually causes a rush. I think that’s just the placebo effect at play. I’ve never felt any energy from eating sugar.

Kids get hyperactive when eating lots of candy even after eating sugarless candy. Kids are like that. They get hyperactive whenever they’re doing anything they like. Get them a new doll to play with and they get hyperactive. I don’t believe it has anything to do with sugar. The new Barbie doll doesn’t contain any sugar and it makes them very hyperactive when it's new:) Take them to the toy store and they get hyperactive. No sugar at the toy store.

Kids like candy a lot so it makes them hyperactive. Give them candy they don’t like much that is full of lots of sugar and they don’t get hyperactive. It’s all in the mind.

one possible reason for kids getting hyperactive when eating candy is because of certain food additives. The worse ones are a specific type of yellow and red coloring (in special Tartrazine ), and some chemicals they add to keep the product for longer (how do you call this? conservants?) like sodium benzoate, also present in coca-cola

so indeed I dont know about the sugar, and yes kids do get hyperactive when they do anything they like (or when they dont get something they want.. or .. well.. they are always hyperactive haha)

I'm sure I get a rush from sugar... but maybe because it's completely absent from my normal diet. You make a good point though. Also, with kids I heard it was E-numbers that make them hyper?

[EDIT: ha Endlessness you got there before me]

Did you ever bake cookies for your kids? If it's the kind they like, they get hyperactive just smelling the cookies baking in the oven.

This idea about sugar making kids hyperactive is a load of crap.

The sugarless candies that don’t taste good don’t make kids hyperactive because they’re not excited to eat them. The sugarless cadies that the kids love do make them hyperactive.

Kids get hyperactive even when seeing a commercial for a product they like. Kids easily get hyperactive. It’s normal and has nothing to do with sugar.

The E-numbers and additives thing is a theory I heard to account for all those American kids being prescribed Ritalin for their 'ADD'. That and bad parenting. Funny how Americans are so scared about their kids getting on drugs... then put them on them themselves!

Maybe some people do...I don't, my kids don't. My wife doesn't.

I don't eat sugar normally. I use stevia as a sweetener, not sugar.

I did a test once. I baked two batches of very sweet cookies. They looked and tasted the same. One day I gave them the ones with the real sugar. They got hyperactive. Then the next day I gave them the ones made with erythritol and stevia, and they got just as hyperactive. No sugar in them. All the ingredients were wholesome natural ingredients. They just get hyperactive because it's something they like. Once they get in that mood it lasts a long time. Its all in the mind. You make cookies they don't like much, they don't get hyper from them, no matter how much sugar is present.

Anyway, maybe that's just me and my family.

I don't see anything wrong with doing a taste test, one with real sugar and one that is sugarless.

My wife liked the ones with the sugar. My kids didn't care. They liked them both.

Erythritol is quite interesting. It goes well with stevia. Together they taste very close to sugar, but with no calories, and they are 100% natural, unlike the popular sugar substitutes.
