I was reading the article for DMT on psychonautwiki.org, and was surprised that it repeatedly mentions sublingual, intranasal and rectal ROAs (7-8 times for each), used concurrently with a MAOI. I've only been on Nexus since May, and I don't recall anyone mentioning using DMT in this way.
So I decided to give the sublingual method a try....
Naphtha that was used to precipitate crystals from several extractions of Acacia confusa bark (both root and trunk) and phyllodes was evaporated down to an orange, floral-smelling goo. Even though I have no MAOIs on tap, I decided to go through with the experiment anyway because of what I read in a 15-year-old thread on the old Nexus started by a member named "mindbody." They claimed that brewing 3-5 tablespoons of what was represented to them as "root bark" in water created a powerful psychedelic experience, sans mono-amine oxidase inhibition.
Rather than have a near death experience or adverse effects that would scare the shit out of my companions on a sunny Sunday morning (I had a seizure during an ayahuasca session once), I opted for a low dose.
21 mgs was placed on my tongue and held there for 10-12 minutes. It was spicy, numbing and tingling like Sichuan pepper, with an aromatic faction that was simultaneously piney and floral. After the flavor dissipated, I swallowed.
About 45 minutes after dosing, my mouth got fuzzy and dry for about 10 minutes. At the same time, my ability to focus improved and there was the sensation of more electricity/vital energy/Qi running through my torso and limbs. I felt stronger and more solid... and slightly tingly all over.
By the 1-hour and 20-minute mark, I was back at baseline.
Next time I will double the dose.
