swim says he cant find the right ammonia where he lives

Swim was talking to me on the bus today and he tells me that he's found a really easy tek.

He hopes that it works for him. Though he's stumped on getting the right ammonia. The only ammonia available to him where he lives is cloudy ammonia and it suds when he shakes it. What would be the best way to substitute this step?

Cant you just use another solvent lke naphtha or methanol ?

My friend is talking about cleaning the yellow crystals to make them white. Is there another method for cleaning other than using ammonia?

if your in the U.S, ace and true value hardware have their own ammonia that is commercial grade pure.

The amonia wash is a bit outdated, and if not performed right there is a chance of loosing alot molecule.

Read through the links I provided for a more up to date way to clean the Spice.

Don't use ammonia you will just lose spice for no good reason. Extract into minimal warm naptha, wash with sodium carbonate solution 10%/vol, and freeze precipitate.
