The Pool-
I pushed back the last few layers of the spinney red fern, so that I may see what lay on the other side, my eyes widen and my heart still flutters to remember that day. I saw them, the white elephants in the crystal blue waters, butterflies floated around the edges of the pool for a drink of the clear liquid. The creatures all around the pool and the cave entrance had a skin tone like that of the snow back in chilly London, which now seemed so far away and my mind strained to remember the sky under which I was born. These ancient creatures had all become much larger than their cousins in lands not so far from here in their extended lives which may have stretched as far back in time as anyone can imagine. A small blue waterfall bubbled out of the entrance to the cave making a fall of twenty feet or so into the pool below, it seemed to sparkle and gleam with the life I knew it contained. Green and hanging vines graced the opening of the cave with a network of brilliant and beautiful white flowers more amazing than any I’d ever seen, they seemed to glow as if tiny stars resided inside of each flower’s petals. Then in wonder I watched a frail dead leaf detach from an overhanging tree drift down toward the pool, instantly after touching the water it sprung into a tree which buried itself in the bottom of the pool, feeding from the waters it quickly grew strong and gigantic in size, seeming to endlessly extend into the canopy above. Movement caught my eye and I found my self watching white monkeys of a species I never before seen or have since, perhaps all others extinct besides the few that found the pool. They passed gracefully overhead in the giant trees, many had learned to speak after living untold thousands of years, they called out to each other in a native language of a nearby tribe, as they swung near to where we stood my guide translated their words before I had a chance to ask it of him,
"They’re welcoming us" he said mystified. I pinched myself in utter disbelief that after so many years of study and so many years of wandering various continents from ice torn lands where not even a plant was to be find, to the lush jungles in which I then stood, that I had found what I had been searching for, the fountain of youth had been discovered.
I edged myself closer to the pool as the birds chirped in an unusual unfrightened manner of which the likes I have never before heard. Many ancient and abstract flora laced the edges of the pool, perhaps mutated in the most divine fashion. The elephants and mastodon did not seem to notice my presence as they lazily floated and sprayed the waters upon their glistening white backs. Fish, some the size of crocodiles darted in out between the legs of the beasts, coming to the pools edge in the curious fearless nature that the creatures of the pool possessed. They studied me with large pink eyes that shown vibrant ly through the crystal waters, then calmly drifting away, seemly uninterested after their curiosity satisfied. My attention turned back to my men as I leaned down to scoop water into my canteen, I then retreated back past the red plants to make the three day hike to camp, but return I did in the months and years to come. Now I sit in my, hut the elephants and mastodon outside, 300 years have passed since that day ,but I remember not a finer one in all my adventures.

The Button Dowry-
So there It was
something I’d found for me
Staring at some clouds
next to the sea
I sat at the foot
Of a thousand year old tree
That told me stories
and laughed with me
It was all so strange
And I couldn’t feel a thing
So I let out a toll
That went down the lane
Ricocheting off the sides
Of some broken down
Farmer’s contraption
Finding its home
In the button dowry maiden
Turning her to dust
As she wept in the garden
Tre’ Eaker-
May you be content,
Despite your enlightened perspective.
May you understand,
The intelligence you are.
Do not partake in narcissism,
If only to justify our cause.
Continue to think;
Let the paint...
And the Ink,
Drip from your fingertips.
And one day,
I will met you in anarchism.
Zen poetry-
~Seek Yeti and Crow
Follow bumble bees
Wherever they may go.
~ To Nepal, now go
Contemplate in patience, until
You understand all.
I Would Melt-
Ya know, I’d melt
If I heard
Three li ttle words
But I won’t hear that today
Or the next
And certainly not the one after that
I might as well,
Roll up my love
And smoke it, in something fat
Nocturnal Dream of Drear Propagated by Siberian Apparitions-
It hit me so fast,
After it went down the hatch
I suddenly had a keen,
Acoustic sense of smell
I said- "well damn"
This wasn’t my plan
As I proceeded to vomit
On the dear boy...
I fell out on the beach
And slurred through my speech
I sputtered something
About...
The sweat on my sheets.
Riding The Dragonfly-
Riding the Dragonfly
By the water I sit
With lotus and lily
I wait
For the Big Ole' Dragonfly to decide my fate
Amanita laughs at me from forest’s floor
As my eye is caught
By the Astral being
I understand that
Brugmansia is
A beautiful tree
That’s part of the being
That’s part of me
Politics-
Rules are made for the masses
Not the individu al in me
So to hell with all your laws
I’ll just be what I planned to be
Your talk about all our freedoms
But there’s only one I really see
Freedom where you have the power to do what you want
Freedom where your free
So what of the soliders
who fight to keep us safe?
Its not worth our sons and daughters
We just need a peaceful place
He’ll do this
And He’ll do that
But it’s all the same
If you really look at the political map
What is you want from the government
You cannot obtain yourself?
Perhaps it is you
Who would like to sit up upon the political shelf?
Fuck all your politics
I think I’ve had enough of it
If you really want to be free
Don’t vote
Choose
Anarchy
CAMP-
back it was
as i told u before
i reached for it
but the handle fell from the door
i tried again with much the same results
only to be returned with a number of insults
yet it was not this that bothered me so
but the tiny men that resided in his afro
i had told him once
i had told him twice
i suppose now he will have to pay the price
he should have gotten corn rows
that way he wouldnt have little men living in his afro
Chopped (Elephant Afro) Jackson State College 1970-
There is something inside a broken lamp
Maybe memories or a series of events
who dart into the corner
so I cant see were they went
And I think-
so long to you, backward talking upright politicians
Whose to stop the action of the trac tion that is spun?
Yet the story seems much shorter, with all these lines it does boarder
Let that be know to all of the cats who quietly bathed out in the sun
So what’s this now you feel?
Your nothing more than your homestead
Your motor cars
Or how you take your meals
Yet I with my
Spacious openhanded comprehension
Under the watchful eye of apparitions
Surely I won’t forever be on the run
Along all the boarders men grow colder and buildings grow old
It was then that I heard the threatening sound of a gun
I left there soon after when the dim far off laughter no longer seemed to be so much fun
Moth-
A small green moth
Whispers from a tree
Off the moon
His tiny thoughts drips
Into a pool
That is a pond
Which once was a sea
But looks like a cloud
Beginning to envelope me
Now...
I do believe
I am a moth
That sits on a tree
Who waits on the water
To return the sea
The Mushroom People-
I walked into the forest and went away
Stepped into the big field
Hearing the mushroom say
Come now child
Stay with me
For just a little while
So I did, and so she told me
The story of mankind
And the mushrooms glory
I heard tale of people
Long ago
Of our earth
And her brother sky
In the arms of truth
I was told no lies
Finally I understood
Mushrooms are people
when the earth is good
That all will learn
Soon you’ll see
That Jesus Christ
Muhammad
And Buddha all agree
Under The Anarchy Sun-
Under the anarchy sun I sit
Blue clouds drift by in a peaceful sky
Bird wings fall from the color stain
While here I stay straining to think these things
Only then to wait
For the anarchy sun
All the time hammering for your sake
I think I’ll need some help
If I’m ever to dismantle the state
Where The Generals Sit-
On the last line;
In the back,
The general sat.
His men were stacked,
All the rows were packed.
So the general gave thanks;
As the men in the ranks;
Held back the enemy tanks,
For awhile...
After all,
The men were dead.
The enemy advanced;
So the general fled;
Looking back toward his dead comrades,
"Cowards" he said.
