Just thought My friend would introduce himself and say Hello! Currently studying everything he can on the topic, never been to hyperspace. My friend has been smoking herbs for about 10 years, and tripped maybe 10 times total, once on LSD, multiple times on shrooms and salvia. Also just tried 25i-nbome for the first time recently, was very very cool btw.. My friend is the kind of person who likes to go through all the processes before gaining access to the reward. He has grown or been involved in producing just about everything he has taken. He feels safer doing it this way and feels more connected once the experience is started. I'm trying to study all the rules here, I apologize if I miss one here and there. A lot to take in along with the teks. Lol. My friend is really interested in Q21Q21's extraction Tek, I think my friend is mainly drawn to it because of the "food grade safe" label. Anywho.... It's a pleasure to be apart of the forums. My friend has been lurking for a month or so and has really come to appreciate the dedication he has seen. Not only to the sacred objects solely but to the maturity of the members and they're respect and concern for safety. I believe through my friends past experiences he has gained much knowledge and has truly been blessed by the knowledge of the sacred teachers. He is very eager to broaden his horizons and learn from travels to hyperspace and join those who partake in the sacred vine. Please teach me... I am a sponge

Thanks for the reply Guyomech! Great to hear from you. I wrote the original post thinking I was in the Introduction Essays section. Once I posted it, I realized my mistake. If a mod wants to move it I would be grateful. I have been so infatuated with this place i find myself lost on the regular! No joke, Lol!

While I have this thread open i have a question about favored containers for the extraction process. I have seen what looks like gallon wine jugs used and many Pyrex casserole dishes. What are the best pieces to use and why? I just recently purchased a Pyrex dish set, so I have many flat bottom dishes. But I'm still trying to get a good idea of the best jars for mixing the water/lye/mhrb. Please advice on preference or with what you've seen and would like to have. I'm starting completely from scratch and have not purchased much at this point. I would rather make one purchase and not regret getting products that I "thought" would work well. Haha! Please include jars, funnels, pipettes, etc... I'm ccompletely new! But very interested in Dmt, ayahausca and cacti extractions.

Note with Mason Jars, they can crack with radical temperature changes.
How it's prevented in canning:

Pyrex (boro-silicate glass):
Doesn't expand or contract as much, therefore, resistant to thermal shock.

I use 2L mason Jars. But I've also thermally cracked 2 of them so far.
Both times when keeping temperature of bark/lye/dH20 solution up between pulls. This means the solution was inside a jar then placed in a bath to keep the temperature up for the next Naptha pull.

First time: put jar into near boiling water:
Second time: added boiling water to bath with jar in it
When they crack, Usually hear a 'pop' then have about 5 seconds to get solution transferred to another container before the whole bottom falls off.

When adding Lye, it does get quite warm. If added slowly, it appears that mason jars can handle the change in temperature. No problems here so far. As a precaution, I always put the jar of water in a large, empty pot before adding any Lye!

Recommend: using mason jars at first. be careful with drastic temperature change. Later on, once you have a feeling for what size jars you like, invest in Pyrex beakers, flasks and so on.

Hi, good to meet you! I just wanted to say I too got to try 25i NBOME several times this year and it was wonderful~ :thumb_up: Like pixel vision on a fractal plane, but I was still able to eat and drink normally unlike LSD.

I like pyrex personally... HDPE for salting sometimes but never for hot liquid. I've cracked a warm mason jar just by moving it into a less-than-boiling hot water bath. Luckily it was after a couple pulls or I would have been furious because it spilled all over an old aluminum pan and couldn't be recovered safely.

I have a nice little warming zone on my glass stovetop that works well with my pyrex for quick evaps. It's just hot enough to melt butter.

So since the last visit, My friend has been reading up thinks it has finally decided to try the lazyman stab Tek for the first attempt. Correct me if im wrong but it Seems to be as good of yield as other teks. Roughly 5g per Lb of bark? Is that a safe figure considering its good quality ground mhrb?

Also, Is naphtha the best solvent to use? Or is MEK better, if so are the same ratios required? If not could you recommend anything better?

Kinda interested in the fasi Tek too. seems like it has to be done after a final product has been yielded from a previous extraction, is that correct? Are there any teks that go straight from plant material to fumarate? Ingestion seems most desirable at the moment.

I searched before I asked, please provide any links if I missed a previously discussed topic. Thanks for any and all thoughts on the matter.

have been seeing problems with the Lazyman's tek coming up.

Going out on a limb here, bad pun, but I think that it's intended for whole rootbark that's ground up by the extractor.

Pre-powdered root bark tends to need much more water.

Have you looked at Normans?

Also, 1lb (400-500g) of bark is a lot to start with.
Possibly, consider a 100g extraction.

Thanks for the reply! Nomans looks good. So nomans saying like 30mL H2O per gram of rootbark according to the remarks section of the wiki article? And .4mL/gram of rootbark. Do you concur?

Is this the route you would go? A lot of the teks seem to be from 3-5 years ago, are there any new advances that aren't included in these? What's the best all time Tek or preference?

The 5g/lb figure given was purely for ease of calculations. 100g mhrb per shirt sounds like a great starting point! :thumb_up:

Also... Solvents: Naptha, mek, etc.. what's the best? SWIM hasn't begun to procure and would like advice to avoid amassing a collection random chemicals.

Update..

I mixed 100g lye with 1500mL water, once the mixture cooled 100g mhrb was added and rolled for an hour or so. Then 100mL of naptha was added and rolled for another hour. Timing worked against me and I had to put it away for acouple weeks. When I returned I pulled the naptha off and put it in a Pyrex dish, i blew into the dish and it got very cloudy. I then covered it and put it in the freezer overnight. The next morning I poured the naptha off into another container then recapped the Pyrex dish and flipped it upside down and let it sit in the freezer for several hours. After that I took the Pyrex dish out of the freezer and allowed it to warm up to room temperature before removing the lid. I let it sit overnight with the lid off. The next day i scraped the white goo around the bottom of the Pyrex dish and let it sit for another day. At this point it seemed dry enough to remove it from the pyrex dish, so I did. I laid it out on a flat solid surface and spread it out as much as I could to allow all of the solvent to evaporate. It's been about a week now and it still doesn't seem to be completely dry. It's very fluffy feeling but when compressed seems to form like a sheet..it's kinda hard to explain. Does this seem normal?

How can I verify that it's good and pure before using it to begin travels? I tasted a very minuet amount and it was very bitter. Doesn't really smell like anything(naptha smell is gone)... Please help curb or confront my fears. I also found some pinkish spots under the white, I separated it from the white stuff and it has dried to about the same consistency, is this jimjam? Please keep in mind I have never laid eyes on nor touch Dmt before finding the nexus. What I have may be perfect but I really don't know. Bottom line, I want to be as safe as possible.

Your friend should be conservative with his bark matter until he has found his niche extract... until then

It sounds like you did the right thing by the tek...but I'm surprised that you got goo and not crystals...puzzling.
The goo you scraped and dried is most likely fine....DMT can be in the form of clear oil like goo as well as xtals.
It probably won't dry 'completely' so chopping it up fine and dosing low (15-20mg) because of its density would be the way to go.

If lye was present it would stain it brown and be apparent.

If in any doubt you can Re-x in a small amount of Nap and re freeze.

edit: after freezing..it is best to dry as fast as possible before room temp and it reabsorbs....use a fan..best way
