The Fluffy White Funfest - pictures

So I decided to do Q21Q21’s tek and here are some pictures, cos I know how much you guys like them, to see how it all went.

After I heard about some people having problem with this tek I was not sure what amount to start with but then I decided to go for 100g of MHRB

It is not really very difficult to do but one think is very important as I found out and that is to get right consistency before you start with pulls. On the picture number six you see the right consistency. Make sure you get it right and you will pull nice white beautiful fluffy spice. You get it wrong and you will get into a problem to get the naphtha out of your jar, like I had before I corrected my mistake.

Just remember if it’s too muddy you will get into trouble. As I found out its better a bit on the dry site then too wet.

I have only done two pulls so far. First pull was 500mg and second 350mg. I have a feeling that there should be still more spice in there.

I will update once I have done more pulls.

Nice, although when I have done this tek the consistency was a bit more wet than yours looks in #6 and it worked fine. I usually get it clumpy but not so dry that it will have a tendency to fall out of the bowl when I pour off the naphtha. Seems like you can't go too wrong with this one

Thanks, I know what you mean, but I really had problem to actually get the naphtha out because consistency was too wet. I had to use oven to dry it to the consistency you see on the picture. Then it worked well.

After pull I just used the lid to keep it in the jar so only naphtha got out.

Will see ,I had fun and this tek was much easier for me then STB plus I did not have to use lye I have to say I would never get so nice clean white spice doing STB.

I hope I can get a bit more out of it

OK so the third pull was 270mg. So far I got just over 1g of nice white spice.

Should I do more pulls ? Do you guys think I may get more out of it ?

Keep pulling til theres nothing left, you wanna get the most out of your bark.

I wanted to ask is there any need to wash it or recrystallize it ? Could there be any Ca(OH)2 left in it ?

Thanks, I really like this tek. Till now I was only doing STB but this yielded much cleaner product. That is why I was worried because it was really snow white. I thought there may some lime in it also. I will probably only use this tek in future.

I was wandering if there was a bit of lime in it would it be a problem to smoke it ?

I found out that unprotected exposure to Ca(OH)2 can pose health risks, so should be limited. It can cause severe skin irritation, chemical burns, blindness, or lung damage

Would that lung damage apply if vaporized ?

With lime it It's so fine powdered it can poof into the air all around if your not careful, so I just try not to breathe it in or get it in my eyes when I open the bag and poor. I don't see much harm other than that, besides if your careful the naptha poors right off the side of a bowl without any mimosa or lime following.

Only just for about 10-15 minutes and I always made sure that the naphtha is worm.

Just google Ca(OH)2 or Pickling/ Slaked Lime you will find it. Try ebay for example I found one pound for $5.50. If you need more info maybe check supplier section of this forum. This is not the right place to ask about it.
